Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I may be in the minority, but I think Ryan deserved it. Look at the standings and look at the preseason rankings. Wisconsin moved up with a walk on point guard and everybody pretty much finished where they were supposed to except for Wisconsin.
I agree -- that said, Crean didn't win last year by the same logic.

By that logic, Crean should have won it last year. I think what pisses me off is the lack of consistency and reason behind these votes.

Oh well, they can have their voted-on award. I'm stoked about the B1G championship and look forward to looking at the trophy next season when I make a pilgrimage back to Assembly (and Cook) Hall.

Definitely don't had a problem with Burke winning it. He's an unbelievable player. I do have a problem with crean getting screwed out of big ten COY for a second straight season.
Crean didn't win it last year? Who the hell won it?
Izzo.

I'd have given it to Oladipo, but what do I know?
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I can't speak for others, but I've always valued your opinion when it comes to B1G POY. ;)

Wow. Tough to believe that after all Crean has accomplished in the last 2 years, he wasn't COY either time.

Burke is a Hell of a player without a doubt, and is probably one of the most talented true point guards I've seen in a long time. However, I'll take Vic as a complete player and what he does on both ends of the floor, and how he can change the entire face of the game in conjunction with his overwhelming desire to win.

Burke deserves it as much as anyone else, but in a team context, I'll stick with Oladipo.
