Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Don't know if I'll be able to keep up with the whole tourney, but I have entered all the teams for the first day and am running those games right now. Only will do one sim of each game....and see if any upsets occur.

Up first: Illinois v. Minnesota.

Unable to run Penn State -- for some reason they will not run them. Am assuming a Michigan win.

Purdue v. Nebraska
First half: The game is tight, but Purdue finishes the half on a 7-0 run to go into the locker room up 33 to 24. Nebraska is limited to 30% shooting. The Boilers were forced to play Anthony Johnson more than they would have liked as Ronnie Johnson picked up three first half fouls.

Second half: the offenses start to come alive. Nebraska nips at the Purdue lead and pulls with one at 57-56 with 6:23 left. Ronnie and TJ lead the offensive surge for the Boilers while Gallegos knocks down some key threes for the Huskers.

Just 26 seconds later, the Huskers pull even for the first time in the half on a Peltz three to tie it up at 59...and then a Purdue turnover and foul leads to Nebraska's first lead with 5:27 left at 61-59. A key bucket by DJ Byrd is followed about a minute later by a Gallegos charge, giving the ball back to Purdue with 4:04 left in a tie game. Nearly three minutes go by before either team scores....at 1:08, an Ubel layup gives the Huskers a 63-61 lead. After both teams miss a shot, Ronnie Johnson finds AJ Hammons underneath for a dunk and a 63-63 tie with 30 seconds left. Ronnie Johnson has a chance to put the Boilers ahead for good with 8 seconds left on the line with a one-and-one....which he misses. Nebraska gets the rebound but does not get a shot off. Overtime.

Purdue opens up with baskets by TJ and Hammons to take a four point lead; Ubel comes back with a three to put the Huskers within one. After an exchange of baskets and a Purdue turnover, Nebraska has the ball with 2:40 left and a 69-68 deficit. Ubel knocks down a shot to put Nebraska up 70-69. The Boilers are unable to convert on Byrd and Davis jumpers and, with still only 5 team fouls, are forced to start fouling with 30 seconds left to stop the clock. With Purdue looking to foul to put Nebraska on the line, Ubel accidentally steps out of bounds and the Boilers take possession with 20 ticks left.

The Boilers run the clock down....but Terone Johnson's drive to the hoop ends up glancing harmlessly off the rim and into a Huskers hand. Nebraska take the upset 70-69 in OT.

After scoring four points in the first minute of OT, Purdue only scored two points in the last four.

The start of the game is the Zeller and VO show as the two combine for IU's first 16 points in a 14-6 start. The Hoosiers are unable to shake the Illini whom, lead by Henry 10 first half bench points, pull within 32-29 at the break.

Second half -- 1:21 into the second half, a Richardson three knots the score up at 35. 5:08 into the second half, the Illini take their first lead of the game on a McLaurin bucket at 45-43.

Indiana then clamps down completely on Illinois and ends the game on an amazing 31 to 5 run over the last 15 minutes for a 74-50 win.

Ohio State v. Nebraska

A completely shocking first half....DeShaun Thomas and Jordan Craft combine to shoot 3 of 15 and the Huskers take a commanding 29-19 lead into the lockeroom.

Second half....anyone who thought the Huskers would just wilt after the break is mistaken. At one point they lengthen the lead to 14. Ohio State starts charging at about 7 minutes in and after a Williams 3 point play and a Thomas bucket, the Buckeyes pull within 41-36. Gallegos for Nebraska continues to add to the 11 points he had at half and with 6:49 left he has 24 points...and the Husker lead is back up to 8 at 54-46. Ohio State continues to get closer, twice getting within a bucket in the next four minutes...but both times Nebraska responds with a bucket. With 3:44 left, Nebraska's lead is at 60-57. With 2:40 left, a Thompson three point play knots the game up at 60.

Nebraksa takes the lead back with 1:36 left as he knocks down two free throws after an Amir Williams foul. Jordan Craft ties it back up 15 seconds later with a floater in the lane and then after a Nebraska miss, hits a long jumper just inside the arc to give the Buckeyes a 64-62 lead with just under one minute remaining. Nebraska is unable to connect and are forced to foul. Thompson steps to the line with 23 seconds left in a double bonus situation and promptly misses both, giving Nebraska the ball. Talley is fouled on the drive on to the hoop and knocks both in to tie it up.....but Thompson redeems himself and knocks down a buzzer beater, giving the Buckeyes a hard fought 66-64 win.

For the Buckeyes, Thomas ends up with 20 and Thompson 17. Gallegos has a game high 27 for the Huskers.

I'll go out on a limb and say that if Remy ever leads us in scoring, we're probably screwed lol.
