Clark Kellogg and company have been talking about rules that need to be changed or removed from College Basketball. I think the biggest rule of them all is where the coach can call the timeout from the bench. This is has happened many times today, one on a possible 5 second call in the OSU/MSU game and another one when IU should have had a 10 second call and the coach called a timeout. That rule needs to go away IMO. I think it should come from the player. I know it has happened on potential tie ups too. |

Have actual jump balls instead of possession arrow when there is a tie-up. |

worst rule in CBB is that there can be a foul after a shot is made on the defense, and even if the shot goes in the offensive team gets the ball back. horrible. |

THE STUPID FUCKING NO CHARGE CIRCLE UNDER THE HOOP. Seriously....a spot on the court where a rule doesn't apply? I hate it. HATE IT. The reasoning that 'you shouldn't be able to 'set up under the hoop' is bullshit. YOU SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO JUMP OR RUN OVER A PLAYER JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE STANDING IN A PLACE WHERE THEY LEGALLY CAN BE. Yesterday in the Iowa/Michigan State game, Derrick Nix backed his big ass into an Iowa player until the guy was inside the circle then ran over him.....and this was called a blocking foul. That's bullshit. |

Derrick nix also shouldn't be allowed in college basketball. |

speaking of this, and this is for basketball in general: you can commit mortal sins backing players down in the post, while wing players get called for touch fouls. by definition, most back down plays (especially by Derrick nix) should he fouls. |

The only time they call it is if you flop. BTW, how about Jordan Hulls 'running over' Brusewitz at the end of the first half and getting called for a charge? I sure hope he's alright. |

I think the refs are very inconsistent on the hedge call. Sometimes they allow contact and other times there is a foul called for only the slightest touch. :banghead: I have noticed that they don't call a lot of 3 second calls as well or it just seems like it. They may get one called about every 5 games, but it only seems like I have seen one called in an IU game 2 times all season and both were Cody. Nix is always pitching a tent in the lane and never gets called for 3 seconds. Hell, it takes him about 9 seconds to make a move under the basket. When he backs someone down in the lane like he does, that eats up about 5 seconds then when he makes a move 12 seconds elapses before he releases the ball, lol. I think jump ball should come back, but it should be done always at center court. |

No clock resets to 15 seconds on kicked balls. Kicked balls occurred because of bad passes.....you don't kick good passes. Don't reward the offense. It happened in the Ohio State/Michigan State game, where the Ohio State player dribbled into the foot of the Michigan State player and a kicked ball moved the clock from 5 to 15 and the Ohio State offense nowhere near the basket. Honestly, I wouldn't have a problem if the kicked ball rule was removed ALTOGETHER. Make it legal. In most cases it is occurring because of bad offensive plays and in most cases as well the ball simply goes out of bounds. |

It's funny, I saw this exact thing happen in the OSU / wiscy game... Craft hit the floor with the ball and Matta called the time out as Craft was bout to get wrapped up by wiscy for a jump ball |
