Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The view that

A. information is more readily available means that

C. people are less informed

is nothing more than an illogical hunch without point B unless you can provide any kind of factual analysis to it, which you have not.
It's a hunch but not an illogical one. I mean come on.....look at these last 2 presidents. Are you telling me than an informed electorate chose them?
Did you happen to look at who they defeated?
We have primaries.
Which are highly covered by all forms of media. But I'm sure that in the 1800s, the electorate was really informed on all of the candidate's positions. Horseback >>>> internet.
I'd say they were more informed than the Snooki crowd....

Even posters on this board admitted that they were sticking with Obama due to a couple fringe social issues....does that make them well informed?
AND they didn't trust Romney. Thanks for playing, though.

Yeah, clearly Mitt Romney was a much worse candidate than Obama and his stellar achievements over the previous 4 years. Brums logic makes perfect sense.
I hope republicans keep thinking like you....they will never get the White House back.
So the fact that Obama had a terrible record and an anemic economy going into the election yet still won is totally due to Romney being a shitty candidate. I'm following you.
Obama's approval rating was very, very low....yet he killed Romney. Tell me again how that makes Romney anything BUT a shitty candidate.

Follow that.

And while you are at, explain to me again how the polls had it all wrong and David Silver is an idiot. Or you could do the better thing -- which is what the republican party needs to do -- and examine what THEY did to lose the election.

Brum, certainly you agree that the pop/Hollywood culture influences the uninformed voter much more than the informed voter. It's pretty indisputable who that crowd backs.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I can think of a lot people whose 'information' comes from Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Sorry, but they influence the stupid and gullible more than any Alec Baldwin could.

Rush and beck are talking to conservatives who were already very likely to vote GOP. Hollywood and pop culture are turning uninformed citizens into uninformed citizen democrat voters.

Put Rush and beck against NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, HLN, Comedy Central, NPR, LA Times, New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Bloomberg, Soros' media network, and nearly all of Hollywood and tell me who wins. Wake up to reality brum.

Wake me up when you want to talk about what the republicans did wrong to lose the elections. Ya see, when the democrats lost the elections go Bush, we should have. I recognized that. But the fact that you can't recognize how epically poor the McCain/Palin duo and Mitt Romney were for the republicans to come with, then you are doomed to continue to lose elections while pointing blame on everyone but the place that could have made a difference.
