Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Obama drew his "red line" last year, and yet he hasn't approached Congress to approve force. Does he consider himself to be a dictator, and is David Korn writing an outline for his new book about this?

I'm never happy about us entering into more foreign conflict, but this one disturbs me more than usual given the resistance from Russia and China. Not interested in WWIII

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I'm not seriously worried about WW3, but don't see why we would want to get in the way of bad guys killing each other. I know that collateral damage is sad and immoral, but don't see how we can stop that without US boots on the ground.

Obama's "red line" speech one year ago has complicated the situation.

Will Joe Biden threaten to start the impeachment process if Obama doesn't get congressional approval on this? He has a history of that....

One U.S. official who has been briefed on the options on Syria said he believed the White House would seek a level of intensity "just muscular enough not to get mocked" but not so devastating that it would prompt a response from Syrian allies Iran and Russia.

Too late, when you say shit like that out loud, consider yourselves mocked.

Get Spielberg on the phone, and see how he would shoot a scene like this.

He did make the statement about starting impeachment proceedings on Bush if he sought military intervention without congressional approval.

Looks like your republican buddies disagree with your assessment.

My buddies? If me thinking we shouldn't go into this unilaterally makes it appear that I'm not a republican, I'm cool with that, because I'm not a republican. We've been over all this before. Considering our current relations with Russia and China I don't think it's a good idea. Obama put himself in this position, thankfully he was smart enough to sit his ego aside this time and let congress decide. Surely you aren't impressed with this administrations foreign policy?

Self actualization is hard sometimes.

And no, I do not want us going into Syria, much less alone.

This will likely be the least popular decision in Obama's entire political career.
