Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” McDonough said it’s “common sense” that the Syrian regime carried out the deadly chemical weapons attack last month that the U.S. government says left more than 1,400 dead in a Damascus suburb. He added the Obama administration feels “very good about the support” it has from other countries, though he wouldn’t say whether any of that support goes beyond moral backing.

McDonough, speaking about the August chemical attack, said the fact that the materials were delivered by the kind of rockets that the regime has, and on-the-ground videos of people dying without physical wounds, are key points of proof.

But he stopped short of providing a direct link between al-Assad and the alleged chemical weapons attack.

“Now do we have irrefutable, beyond reasonable doubt evidence? This is not a court of law, and intelligence does not work that way,” McDonough said, adding common sense says "he is responsible for this. He should be held accountable.”

Pressed on whether there are any countries willing to provide military equipment or assistance, McDonough continued to point to statements of moral support.

Common sense? No real evidence needed....just common sense. There were people dying with no injuries.....that's definitely enough "proof" to start another military operation. Our current foreign policy is a scary fucking joke. Wow!

One thing is for sure, I'm definitely not voting for Obama in 2016.

Obama and friends rushing into another Mid-East war is like electing Republicans who are in a rush to legalize all forms of partial-birth abortion. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Could anybody give me a primer on exactly where we sit right now? Do we have ships already stationed near Syria or are we awaiting Congressional approval?

Also, I was listening to the radio yesterday and they talked about the possibility -- not actuality, just possibility -- that the use of chemical weapons could have been by rebel forces as opposed to the regime. Anyone who has followed this info care to chime in?

Here is one thing I found in which German intelligence says it wasn't ordered by Hassad, but it did come from somewhere in his regime as opposed to rebel forces.

Can you recall who the last president was that tended to side on non-military intervention solutions? I can't.....regardless of party. It's sad.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out for the "low information" voters, i.e. Obama's base.

We need baseball cards or something to tell who is playing for who and which side we are supposed to root for.

That's a good idea. And maybe a cheer section holding up signs and stuff.

Syria saying they are willing to accept Russia's deal to turn over chemical weapons to international control. Will have to see if US accepts the deal. Will mean that we will have to suck up our pride and accept a deal that likely doesn't mean actually turning over all of their chemical weapons (they have never been receptive to doing so in the past) and allow us to look a little bad in the short term of for allowing Russia to come in with the solution but produce a better long term solution of not going into Syria nor forcing a congressional vote that will see our lawmakers in great conflict over whether or not to go in.....with each party even suffering great divisions within themselves.
