Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Kind of an interesting facts to the story. I did not realize that the off duty police officer in the Dallas Mohammed cartoon event took out both 'suspects' who both had an assault weapon and body armor with his .45 handgun. He certainly saved lives. Dude is a hero.

Harry Callahan: Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

People are a bit up in arms about this unarmed student who was shot and killed by an officer, but let me tell you, this is EXACTLY what I want to see in a news story about killing an unarmed suspect. Also note the student was on mushrooms, which may be why the other methods didn't have enough effect.

Quote:

The officer believed Morad "was now a threat and going to assault him," so the officer used "verbal commands, an electronic control device, an impact weapon, and physical force" on Morad, but was unsuccessful in restraining him, police said.

Morad then allegedly told the officer he was "going to attack him," and the officer shot Morad, police said. He died at a hospital.

I would like to know more about the size of the police officer. This could be a situation where a large officer could have easily subdued him w/o using deadly force. It's natural for kids to experiment with drugs, and this is an extremely sad ending. It's hard to even imagine what the father is going through.

Apparently an Arkansas woman stole a cop car, twice, and also reached for an officer's weapon. She somehow managed to not get shot or the shit beat out of her so good job boys.
