Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I think he is making a mistake. Dude was hurt most of the season. If he came back next year and stayed healthy his draft stock could go up.

Possibly, but RB's shelf lives are so limited. Get to the league and make some money while you can; what if he comes back and tears an ACL next year?

I certainly would do the same thing. Thanks for your contribution, and best of luck in the future, Jordan.

Not well versed in college football, but did next year's RB draft talent (or lackthereof) influence the decision?

Matt Miller has Howard projected to go late in the third round. Very few running backs get drafted in the first round nowaday.....only two last year. If Howard is a third round pick, he should go.

We'd certainly miss his talent, but after Redding's incredibly poor start where he became my least favorite Hoosier (first 6 games: 108 carries for 314 yards, 2.9 ypc) he kept getting better as the season wore on -- and finished the last three games with 81 carries for 501 yards, 6.2 ypc). And after the great bowl game he had, he actually joined Howard in 1,000 yard club for the year.

It's the right call for him.
