Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

If they were Muslim they would be called terrorists.
Small, efficient government and Libertarian minded folks like myself want to hear the facts before making a judgement on a case like this. We know that the Feds can be over-bearing, and with a guy like Obama in charge, it can even target political enemies, e.g. the IRS targeting conservative groups. Big government State-ists immediately take the side of big-government, and are even more outraged because guns are involved.
As I said before -- and you applauded -- you are free to protest. What you are not free from are consequences of the protest.

I'm all for standing up to the government where justified and necessary. I just don't know enough about their stance here to say that is the case on this one. I do think that the friend of theirs (I think friends) who went to jail for arson were definitely targeted unfairly by the government (based on what I know so far anyway).....have you guys looked at that part of the story?

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I still haven't formed my final opinion about this. One account (maybe the one posted?) says one of the arsons was allegedly set to cover up poaching. Citizens have a reason to be somewhat distrustful of the Feds and MSM, so it might take some time to gather in the facts. You know the MSM wants to morph the Tea Party into a gang of anti-government, gun wielding, bible thumpers, so it takes more effort getting through that.

I know so little about starting controlled fires on large pieces of land that I really can't form an opinion on this myself. At a minimum, I would think there are channels to go through in order to start controlled fires. Even if they did it for the right reasons, without getting some sort of approval so there are professionals involved, I would consider the act illegal and highly dangerous.

Holy shit. These guys got arrested, there were shots fired and 1 person is dead.

No one seems to know exactly what happened yet, but it will be interesting to hear how their supporters change their opinion, if at all, if it comes out these fuckers fired on police officers unjustly.
