Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Academics?
I don't believe so. I think CT transfer was due to a coaching change and Oklahoma State was from being buried on the depth chart.
Yes. He transferred from Connecticut before the season started his freshman year began, I believe. Wanted to be closer to home. After spending a year at a JUCO, had offers from Memphis, Colorado State, UNLV, and Indiana.

IU also picked up JUCO safety Jayme Thompson, former Ohio State player and 19th rated safety out of high school.

He redshirted as a fresh at Ohio State and will still have three years of eligibility left.

Guys, Dan Feeney is coming back for his senior year! This is shocking to me. He might be the best player in the Big Ten next year.

So pumped. This will be only the 4th game I've been able to catch this season and I'm coming off four straight 12 hour days. A few beers and an IU win sounds amazing right now

FYI, IU just picked up a Commitment from Kiante Enis (Curtis Enis' nephew).
For those that don't remember Curtis, he was a Penn State HB that was drafted
in the 1st round by the Bears. And is still considered one of the biggest flops
in the NFL.

Kiante originally committed to Michigan and backed out a couple weeks ago.

Today he signed with Indiana.

VERY fast kid. I see him primarily as a DB and Punt returner, but word around here is that
he wants to run the ball.
He is fun to watch carry the ball. He cuts on a dime and can fly when in the open field.
Keep in mind his competition has been against smaller schools at this point.
But he is extremely athletic, so maybe Wilson keeps him at HB.

I believe he is considered a 3 star recruit.

Kiante Enis

Could possibly move him to receiver as well.

He ended up with 6,991 yards career rushing in high school -- good for ninth all time in Indiana -- despite not playing football as a freshman. Ran for 99 touchdowns in 36 career games and scored 109 touchdowns overall.

And he did it while actually averaging a shade UNDER 20 carries per game -- 716 carries in 36 games. Basically scored a touchdown every seven carries.

Wilson said in his press conference the plan is to keep him at RB. He wants to be a RB and so that's where they'll put him. I'm guessing that's why he flipped to us. Didn't want to switch to WR.

Spriggs put up a monster combine. Top 5 performer in every metric including having the fastest 40 and the furthest broad jump. Also rave reviews about his position drills performance. Likely bumped into the first round now.

Also, Kevin Wilson making the most of his new contract. Already has 4 commits for 2017, including 4-star running back Lynn Bowden. He is ranked 163rd in the country right now, which I have to imagine makes him our highest recruit in a long, long time.
