Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

We take care of home court and win at Illinois, we'll be in good shape. Maybe not to win the Big Ten but get a good seed in the tournament.

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but it is time Crean play OG more and bench Troy. Matter of fact, he should send a strong message to Troy and bench him the next 3 games. IMO, he is the key to this team having a deep run in the BIG and NCAA tourney but the guy needs to play a heck of a lot better on both ends of the floor. We seem to have trouble with teams that have point forwards like Wisconsin and MSU. There is no reason why this guy can't be a lock down defender and a consistent 15 plus scorer on the offensive end but the dude is frustrating as heck. I would let OG get the start on all 3 games and plant Troy's but on the pine and not let him see the floor until he is ready to play hard, consistent on both ends.

Some of you think Bryant is frustrating, well at least the dude is trying. Troy doesn't give us that effort every game.

A novel idea! ;)

I seriously doubt benching Troy for three games is going to improve his attitude.

Thomas Bryant is a nightmare in PnR defense. Every time he's involved, MSU gets a good look.
He had been doing much better before today. He reverted back to hedging way too far.

Well it can't hurt. Crean has tried other things and that hasn't worked. Why not try this?

the "funny" thing is...going into the season we were wondering if we could keep JBJ and troy for another year prior to turning pro. and i have to say, and i'm sure i'm not alone...1) the team really did start to play better complete ball after JBJ went down and 2) if troy is not going to be in the right mind, we're a better team without him on the court as well.

yogi will be missed next year for sure. but if people come back and actually improve, embrace the idea of defense and above all else look to compete every minute of every game...next year could be interesting. though i don't think it can be a team that relies on the 3 as much.

don't know...but it's an interesting situation.

OG was a +6 yesterday.

I don't agree with the idea of benching Troy for 3 games. His issue isn't lack of effort. It's lack of focus and control. Personally, I'd like to see him come off the bench. Not as a punishment, but just so we can see what OG can do with some serious minutes.

As for next year, a lineup of Rojo, Hartman, Morgan, OG and Bryant would be a huge lineup that could really cause havoc defensively. Of course, it's much more likely Blackmon and maybe Troy are starters next year again.

Well nonetheless, something has to happen to Troy because his current role of starting isn't paying big dividends. Still would like to see the dude benched for 3 games, that should get his focus back, IMO.

As far as Hartman, that guy plays hard but he needs to look for his shot more. I think he looks to drive and pass a lot. Seems like he shot it more last year than this year. He can make big shots.

we're not benching TW for 3 games, let alone should we. could he start from the bench and come on as a sub...sure. i could like that. but the truth is we need troy if we think we are going to win anything or make any noise down the stretch.

i will say, though, as much as we need troy...and we do...think it's also time to understand he's not a great a player. he's a great athlete and an average DI player. that's what he is. if he comes back for his senior year...i will expect more of the same.

We aren't winning the Big Ten, but we can make some noise in the Big Ten and NCAA tourney. We need to look at the big picture.

Well at least make him earn his starting role again!!

I say bring him off the bench, IMO.
