Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Buddy just texted me Johnson got hurt...does it look bad?
He looks okay on the bench.
Ya. Didn;t really see anything obvious on the play. But I believe he's out of the game now since PG took his FTs.

IU was up by 19 with like, 8 minutes to go and then Purdue just started nailing 3s out of nowhere. That was a really crazy comeback. For the most part though, IU's defense was fantastic and they got whatever they wanted on the offensive end. Was a great performance.

Great comeback for Purdue as they caught fire. However, I'll still take the win. A little closer than I'd prefer, but I can't complain too much. Great game, Hoosiers!

Great win. When RJ went out, our perimeter D got worse. I also thought we benefitted from a couple fouls on Hammons that could have and probably should have been no calls. Troy did get fouled on that fastbreak acrobatic shot.

I will add, and the Purdue brethren here may disagree vehemently, but I think Purdue would be better off playing Raphael Davis less. The Michigan State game was the exception, although he ended up 8-22 that night, but he's just brutal on offense. He's obviously good defensively, but there are certain games where that's not as important. I didn't notice him having a huge impact in that regard tonight, and he brought nothing on the offensive end. Just a thought...

will take the win. worried about RoJo. need him. Painter should have adjusted his line-up to shoot the 3 off the kick-out more. that was going to be there for the most part. whatever focused troy mentally tonite needs to be there every game.

bottom line though...we won this because we played our game WITHOUT turning over the fucking ball! do i believe we've overcome the issue? no. but that's the key...as it always has been.

and i have to...why the fuck did espn now change the format of box scores so that teams can only be viewed individually in full? i want to be able to look at comparisons quickly. those guys are simply idiots.

Which guy shooting under 40% are you going to replace him with to provide that offense from? Stephens? Cline? Mathias?

He's in the middle of a three game stretch in which he's played very, very poorly offensively and it's pretty easy to say he should be on the bench more now. But he's still a plus defender who can guard a variety of positions.

BTW, I'm already hearing the rumors that Kendall Stephens will be transferring after this year. Honestly, I think the minutes aren't going to be for him next year anyway.

Certainly not Stephens...his time is done. I think Mathias and Cline are both far superior on the offensive end. As an IU fan, if Cline or Mathias shoots, I'm worried; if Davis shoots, I'm almost elated.

If there's a singular mathup problem, I can see playing Davis so he can guard said problem. However, in a game like tonight, where that wasn't necessarily the case, I don't see what he brings to the team. He simply is terrible offensively, and despite his defensive production, I don't think he's the best option. The problem is he's a senior and done a lot for the program, so it's going to be difficult for Painter to take his minutes away. I guess that's why he gets paid 2 million plus a year...to make difficult decisions. In a game like tonight, you couldn't convince me that Cline or Mathias wouldn't be a better option. Even if they aren't hitting, at least the defense would respect them, and open up things down low. Defenses do not respect Raphael Davis at all, and it kills their offense. If he isn't dominating defensively then he doesn't bring that much to the table.

Just one man's opinion....
