Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

This is how I see it...at least for the 1st seven seeds in the BTT:

IU has @Iowa, Maryland left
Wisc has @ minny, @PU
Maryland has Ill, @IU
Iowa has IU, @mich
MSU has @RUT, OSU
OSU has only @MSU left
PUR @nebby, Wisc

So, my predictions, IU loses at Iowa and wins against Mary they finish 1 seed, and outright champs. 14-4
Wisc splits with a win at Minny and a loss against PU 12-6
Maryland wins against Ill and loses to IU 12-6
Iowa wins out 13-5
MSU wins out 13-5
OSU loses last game 12-6
Purdue wins both 12-6

This would seed the BTT like this
IU #1
Iowa #2 (won both against MSU)
MSU #3

(the 12-6 teams)
Purdue #4 ( 4-1 against the group)
Maryland #5 (4-2 against the group)
Wisc #6 (2-4 against the group)
OSU #7 (0-4 against the group)

way too early.

yes a tie is guaranteed. but we could also be the 5 seed in the BTT. let's win this outright with a win or two to close things out.
If IU were to not win it outright, they will be the seed of how ever many teams tie for the title (3, 4 or 5)

Wisconsin should lose at Purdue.

Iowa very well could lost at Michigan.

Maryland will come to IU 12-5.

Michigan St will finish 13-5.

IU just needs to win a game and plant themselves firmly on the 1 line.

Seriously tho, I had no inclination that CTC could turn around the defense and turnovers. Might've had some help from JBJ.

This is how I see it...at least for the 1st seven seeds in the BTT:

IU has @Iowa, Maryland left
Wisc has @ minny, @PU
Maryland has Ill, @IU
Iowa has IU, @mich
MSU has @RUT, OSU
OSU has only @MSU left
PUR @nebby, Wisc

So, my predictions, IU loses at Iowa and wins against Mary they finish 1 seed, and outright champs. 14-4
Wisc splits with a win at Minny and a loss against PU 12-6
Maryland wins against Ill and loses to IU 12-6
Iowa wins out 13-5
MSU wins out 13-5
OSU loses last game 12-6
Purdue wins both 12-6

This would seed the BTT like this
IU #1
Iowa #2 (won both against MSU)
MSU #3

(the 12-6 teams)
Purdue #4 ( 4-1 against the group)
Maryland #5 (4-2 against the group)
Wisc #6 (2-4 against the group)
OSU #7 (0-4 against the group)
I REALLY like this scenario.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Me also. Have you played around on the BTT seeding predictor at http://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb ?

It is fairly easy to have us as a 3 or a 4 seed.

What's crazy is there is a scenario where Iowa can still get the 8 seed if they lose their last 2. If that happened that would suck to be the 1 seed in the tourney.

If Iowa were to lose their last two games, I don't think it would suck to have to play them as the 8 seed. They would be a team that lost their last five and six of their last seven.

I think the worse scenario would be being the one seed and Purdue being the 8. I'd rather match up with Iowa on a neutral court than Purdue.

Anyway, my prediction of the games is the same as eel except I am predicting an Iowa loss at Michigan. If that happens, there are going to be a shit ton of teams with 6 losses.

If my scenario turns out true, the seeds would be:

1. Indiana
2. Michigan State
3. Maryland
4. Iowa
5. Purdue
6. Wisconsin
7. Ohio State
8. Michigan

A lot hinges on whether IU wins at least one of their last two, the Iowa/Michigan game, and the Wisky/Purdue game.

If I had to pick the teams in order of which I would most prefer IU NOT play, it would be:

1. Michigan State.
2. Maryland
3. Purdue
4. Wisconsin
5. Iowa
6. Michigan
7. Ohio State

MSU is the only team that semi-scares me. But if Purdue takes care of the basketball, they don't worry me a whole lot. That's been a big if for entire games though so at this point probably closer to the norm going forward.

Yeah, I had a feeling we were in a good position to possibly snag the #4 seed. Thanks for putting this together, eel.

And Maryland. Iowa has lost too much steam, but I may change my mind after tonight. Not sure if I'm going to watch. Haven't been able to watch a lot of games, but we've lost all that I have. I might be MSU best weapon ;)
