Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Well, given that dogs and humans look completely different, I think I'd just know. Should we start a new thread to discuss this topic since it has nothing to do with this thread? Or is that the overall gotcha tactic you are employing?
So because I don't look like a dog, you will determine that I am not a dog and do not have the same rights as a dog does even though I identify myself as a dog? Seriously? What a discriminatory anti-dog bigot you are if that is how you feel. Am I correct?
Dude seriously this questioning dog/human thing is insane. You're embarrassing yourself. Besides, you wouldn't answer my question about how to identify a woman/man. You can't berate him for not answering yours (even though he did).

Yes. I will go on record that dogs should not have the same rights as humans. Dogs shouldn't vote. They surely shouldn't drive, even if they are a very good dog.

Perhaps your having some difficulties today, because again that wasn't my question.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Brian actually brought it up, but of course you attack me because I'm the one you generally disagree with. I couldn't care less what you think of my questioning.

I brought it up in the context that I don't have a problem with anyone identifying as anything they want. Then I said my problem is with laws that discriminate and put people in harm's way, which the NC bill undoubtedly does. Then for some reason you latched on to the animal scenario, completely ignoring the entire point. Whether it was because you wanted to derail the conversation that was actually about the topic, or you really think species identification is the same exact thing as gender identification, I'm not sure...

Please though, go educate yourself on this topic. Attend an LGBT support group and hear their stories. It will seriously enlighten you on the subject more than a discussion with a bunch of straight, white males on an Internet board.

Brian, I would like to clarify something here and I am going to try to make it crystal clear in one post as to avoid any potential confusion in yiur answer.

1) you are ok with people identifying as animals (per your previous post)
2) you are not ok with that person following the rules of society that are intended for animals (I used the example of a dog, meaning that you are not ok with that person shitting on the sidewalk as a dog could even though he identifies himself as a dog)
3) the reason you are not ok with #2 is because there are physical differences between humans and dogs (you pointed out that humans don't look like dogs as one example)

Do you agree with that summary? Yes or no? If no, please tell me which part that I got wrong.

Thanks mongo. Luckily my face transitioned on its own a long time ago. And I e always got pretty excited when the mail lady shows up.....it should be smooth. I'm a little bit of a germaphobe though so sniffing butts and licking myself is gonna be rough. B)

So now that we are all in agreement with ourselves, I think it is time for everyone to state if you had to be a vegetable which one would you be?

I will start. I want to be a human one. As long as the nurses aren't mean to me.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed
