Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTW, I think that Trump did make a good political move meeting the Mexican president (but just downright strange on his follow up immigration speech). I do think Clinton has taken too much to just try and sit on the lead and it has allowed the race to tighten up. If she does the election (I still think she won't), IMO it will be the second time she has run for president with being the favorite to win it in January and not been able to beat someone that organizationally she should have.

One thing that Clinton did do in August was set the monthly fundraising record of $143 million. The campaign plans to spend $77 in ads in swing states before the election.

Hillary destroyed her smart phones with hammers. Regardless of the reason, I just have a hard time viewing that as Presidential. For all of the railing on Trump for his temperament and stupid comments, this seems so much worse to me. I mean......that's something that criminal mafia types do, not Presidents.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I wouldn't call tons of things that both of them have done presidential. I'm not sure presidents say people aren't capable of doing their job because of their race like he did with the Mexican judge in his Trump University scam (another thing I would equate with guys running ponzai schemes, not presidents).

But we don't really get to elect a president this year based on their presidentialness.

Left one key word out that made it ambiguous....meant to say if she loses the election (which I think she won't).....I still think she has a definite advantage to win in terms of current polls and organization. But the political strategy is very curious. It's like watching two teams without much coaching. Or players.

I honestly think he is simply trying to muddy the water so that no one actually can figure out what his policy is.....in front of his crowds, he'll say one thing and then he'll go out and say something completely different. I'm not sure that will work.....I don't think it really grows the base when people hear the sound bites from the rallies.

But at the same time, Clinton continues to basically try taking a knee two months before the election. I guess it's a wait and see what the plan is late game as she has raised the funds, but I think her August strategy was okay at the beginning when Trump was imploding but not a whole lot was done by the Clinton campaign after that, which IMO was a mistake.

This hasn't been one for the ages in terms of what I would call the 'political game'. Forget the candidates -- I think there have been so many mistakes in terms of playing the game that both sides have made. I get that the candidates are incredibly flawed.....but that doesn't mean that the game has to be this flawed.

Trump has mastered the concept of altering the delivery of a message to pander and mislead the audience without actually changing the main content. 2 examples are his immigration messages and abortion messages.

What is his official abortion position, and nuanced positions for different crowds?

I found this recent poll:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/183434/americans-choose-pro-choice-first-time-seven-years.aspx
Posted Image
I surprised that 50% of pro-choice crowd favors abortion legal under any circumstances. Politically, the Repubs need to make this the issue, not a complete ban on abortion. They get 50% of the pro-abortion vote, and most of the anti-abortion vote.

Making Brum's point, maybe Hillary shouldn't go into the victory formation just yet. At least run it the first three downs.
