Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Making Brum's point, maybe Hillary shouldn't go into the victory formation just yet. At least run it the first three downs.
It's a strategy that simply doesn't make sense. Groundhog mode is for those up by twenty points holding steady. I know that there will be an ad blitz from the money she has raised, but the proper strategy should have to maintain the lead she had when it was at about 8 percent or so entering the debates to get people not caring about them since it wasn't considered a race.

The bar for Trump in a presidential debate is set low. Keeping it close or simply staying on topic in the debate is a win for him in the debates.

I simply don't understand the people that have run their campaigns. Trump is on campaign manager #3 and Clinton's campaign manager seems to be content on raising money and nothing else. I expect the debates themselves to be horribly bad.

BTW, I think that Trump did make a good political move meeting the Mexican president (but just downright strange on his follow up immigration speech). I do think Clinton has taken too much to just try and sit on the lead and it has allowed the race to tighten up. If she does the election (I still think she won't), IMO it will be the second time she has run for president with being the favorite to win it in January and not been able to beat someone that organizationally she should have.
I just saw some of his post Mexican visit immigration speech, and it was a real stinker. No big surprise...
I honestly think he is simply trying to muddy the water so that no one actually can figure out what his policy is.....in front of his crowds, he'll say one thing and then he'll go out and say something completely different. I'm not sure that will work.....I don't think it really grows the base when people hear the sound bites from the rallies.

But at the same time, Clinton continues to basically try taking a knee two months before the election. I guess it's a wait and see what the plan is late game as she has raised the funds, but I think her August strategy was okay at the beginning when Trump was imploding but not a whole lot was done by the Clinton campaign after that, which IMO was a mistake.

This hasn't been one for the ages in terms of what I would call the 'political game'. Forget the candidates -- I think there have been so many mistakes in terms of playing the game that both sides have made. I get that the candidates are incredibly flawed.....but that doesn't mean that the game has to be this flawed.
Trump has mastered the concept of altering the delivery of a message to pander and mislead the audience without actually changing the main content. 2 examples are his immigration messages and abortion messages.
What is his official abortion position, and nuanced positions for different crowds?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/04/03/donald-trumps-ever-shifting-positions-on-abortion/

Note the five different positions from March 30 to April 1.

I don't see as much as a change in his position on abortion as I do his "punishment" and "who" sets the law.

From what I see, he is pro-life with exceptions.

Based on his past history, I would expect him to be more pro-choice than most Repubs.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Which time?

And, BTW, both changes in his 'position' are not negligible....especially since they changed in a three day period.

Yes I will likely vote against Donald Trump...but it's not like it's gonna matter in Indiana.

And Hillary has changed her position.

In 2003 she opposed partial birth abortions, now she is for legalizing them.

She also wants to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which would have government foot the bill for all
abortions.

Sorry, I am a pro-lifer.

Hillary wants abortions to be legal at any time and paid for by the government.

Do you not think that Hillary says and is whatever will get her votes? Have you been paying attention to the ridiculous string of serious lies she's told and is still telling regarding her FBI investigation? It's hard to fathom why anyone would consider voting for that.
