Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Unbelievable. Feel awful for the officers involved. All reports prior to the shooting were of a very peaceful protest with officers and protesters comingling. Some moron thinks shooting cops is the way to retaliate for cops shooting people? I know logical thought is out the window at this point, but how on earth do you not realize that shooting cops simply furthers their perception that everyone is dangerous and everyone is trying to kill them? This person absolutely derails movement they themselves support which was gaining so much momentum.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

5 police dead? 2 snipers? There is no way in hell this was a random incident.

Lot of speculation about the possible training these guys had. There is one video, which I won't post, which shows one of the shooters at street level take on an officer. He very calmly suppresses the officer and comes around his cover from behind to kill him at point blank range. Lots of comments on the tactical, professional nature of the shooter.

as tragic as the actual incident is in terms of loss of life....this has the makings of something far more serious than even that.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

"The suspect said he was upset about black lives matter"
"The suspect said he was upset about the recent police shootings"
"The suspect said he was upset with white people"
"The suspect said he "wanted to kill white people, especially white officers"

The eyewitness accounts I've read said, at least the guy they saw, was decked out in tactical gear, heavily armed, and operated calmly and like this was well planned

definitely well planned from what I can tell as well...and planned over a period of time. Perhaps just waiting for the right timing?
