We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I'm not a trump supporter, but to be honest I can't believe that the Melania thing is such a big issue. Shows the ass of our current culture. This is seriously what the voters care about? |

I think it's more Of a "Voters don't care about the convention so we should cover a different story" kind of thing. |

Make no mistake, this is only a story because the Trump campaign iskeeping it alive by fighting it tooth and nail. If they had just owned up to the mistake, it would have blown over already. But I just want to point out that plagiarizing is always one of those things that regular people don't have strong feelings about. However, in journalism and education, it is taken VERY seriously. There's a reason you can get expelled from college on your first violation for plagiarizing. "The media" in this case aren't just random people like you and me. So for sure they will care much more about this than average voters. To me, the lying about graduating college is far more serious. I can imagine ways in which Michelle Obama's speech accidentally made it into Melania's speech. I don't see any way that they could have accidentally advertised the degrees Melania earned in a college she dropped out of. |

I'm guessing if Alaska wasn't the second alphabetical order state, this wouldn't have happened... http://www.adn.com/politics/2016/07/19/day-2-dispatches-from-cleveland-alaska-at-the-republican-national-convention/ shady business. br |

I'm not saying that this protestor should have been allowed on stage or to continue on disrupting an event. But the symbolism of people trying to block a sign that says "no racism, no hate" with an american flag is pretty crazy. think about that. br |

LOL......looks like they are trying to float a scapegoat while Trump's campaign manager continues to not acknowledge the plagiarism. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/20/politics/donald-trump-campaign-organization/index.html |

The weirdest part of this "acknowledgement" is that it points the finger right back at Melania. If she gave the quotes to the writer, she certainly would have recognized the quotes in the speech. So why didn't she say something? To me, this smells like the Trump campaign trying to get someone to take the fall and they didn't think it all the way through. |

Aaron, if you want to know why this is still a story, watch the video in the article Brum linked. The guy from CNN describes it perfectly. |

You would think that an architect like Melania certainly would remember the quotes. |
