Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

....and how would have Russia obtained those emails?

br
They would have to hack the Hillary. But I don't think Trump specifically asked them to. He said it in the tone of voice that goes, "I'm joking...(but seriously if you happen to have those emails you should release them).
I'm sorry, but jokes to me are intended to be humorous. Exactly what would be humorous about this?
Oh it wasn't funny at all. While I don't think he explicitly invited Russia to hack us, he clearly would be happy if they did, and that in itself defies all logic.
his whole point seems to be that they probably already have because Hillary is so careless with her email......it's a legitimate jab, and hacking the DNC isn't a threat to US security....they are a party, not a government agency.
Brum is right. He was talking about Hillary's private server emails which supposedly have classified information on them. If that's true, Trump shouldn't want Russia to have those emails, let alone to release them publicly. Totally unamerican.
Yet, if they DO have them and IF they were obtained by hacking Hillary's private email server
what should happen to Hillary??

If Russia were to come forth and say "Hey, look what we found on Hilary's personal server"

That would create utter chaos and many. many problems!

No, he shouldn't have said it, but there are many things he has said that he shouldn't have.
He has no filter.

if Russia has them, we should know about it...it's unamerican to allow Hillary to commit such a crime and hide it. See what I did there.....both arguments are nonsense. Clearly Trump isn't calling for Russia to hack classified information and expose United States secrets to the world....you guys need to chill on this one.

Like I said before, Trump gives you plenty of legitimate fodder....stick with it.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

He absolutely, 100% wants Russia to expose US secrets to the world if they have those emails. I'm with you on the argument he didn't ask Russia to hack Hillary, but I see no way around the other part.

I think you are giving Trump way too much credit, gray.

Also, why are you glossing over your statement in which you wrongly said he was talking about the DNC e-mails?

maybe, I don't really follow the man, and don't care for much of what I do know about him, but it takes an entirely lower level of idiot to actually want classified American documents exposed.....I just don't think he's quite at that level, and he really just saw that as an opportunity to take a jab and get attention.

I'm not glossing over anything....I addressed the fact that the documents in question were from Hillary's server didn't I? The context of this original statement, brum, comes from the fact that it is believed that the Russians have hacked the Dems, so it's not really off base.

I find it ironic that the carelessness of the dnc and Hillary have turned into a smack against Trump. Trumps comments may be reckless, but how does it compare to Hillary's actions that created the comment to begin with? Amazing spin.

Don't mistake the criticism of trumps comments as a reprieve for hillary. Believe me, that is not the case.

She was married to Slick Willie, so she has learned a few tricks from her husband.

She was wrong, Trump was wrong.

No, you did gloss over the fact. You made an incorrect statement and then just moved on when called on it. No 'my bad', nothing. Your statement was that the DNC is a political organization, not the government.....which has nothing to do with his comments.

BTW, a lower level of idiot IMO is one who thinks that getting attention for what he said would be a good thing. He either speaks without thinking through things the least bit or is simply someone who can't stand it when the spotlight isn't on him. As I said previously, he should be riding his momentum right now but he seems to be doing everything in his power to reverse it. IMO, that is a lower level idiot.

This is a trend in his campaign...when opportunity knocks, don't answer. And by don't answer, I mean say something so stupid it directs bad publicity away from his competitor. His son said that their campaign will be studied for years to come. I think he's right...just not for the reasons he'd like it to be.

Of course it's spin. What Ina political campaign isn't spin?

But if you don't want to be spun, don't provide thread to be spin.

Of course. The media makes money on spin. That's why the media area at conventions, etc is called "the spin room."

But it doesn't take away the fact that what he said alluded to an encouragement of jeopardizing national security.
