You may have seen a few posts with a chess board position in the post itself. ![]() Achieving this is quite easy once you understand how to store images online. Placing an image in your post To put an image like this inside your post, you will need to 1. Create the image of the chessboard. You can use software like Chessbase or find online chess game viewers. 2. Take a screenshot of the chessboard position - ie the Print Screen button on your keyboard. 3. Save the image using something like Paint. The image will need to be <200kb. 4. Upload the image to an image server. ImageShack is a good image host. 5. Once you have uploaded your image, you will need to copy the URL of the image. 6. And finally create your post, click the Image button and paste the URL. It will appear something like You can click the Preview button to make sure it works ok before posting. If this all sounds too hard, you have an alternative. Once you have your image, just attach it to your post. In the attachments section below your post content, click Choose files and add the image. Forum users can then see your attachment by clicking on it. Not as nice, but it works. |
