I'm taking a math class this year in college and while I don't hate it I certainly don't love it. Does anyone here actually enjoy doing math or is good at it? Cause I sure ain't.

Do your remedial math homework Zach. ;) And well.. I'm not a very big fan of math myself. I used to loath it during my school days.. irregardless I was pretty good at math and got the hang of it faster than most of my classmates. I just didn't care for it, but I can totally understand people who struggle with advanced mathematics such as algebra, calculus, combinatorics, and all that stuff. I mean, sure I can solve most of that without too many problems, but it's not something I would ever enjoy doing. :P |

I don't like math but basic math is very easy and requires common logic and problem solving skills. I hated taking it every day in school though and I don't think math is useful in our daily lives except for the most basic of math like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. That stuff is easy, and it's useful. I never use advanced math in my life and it's a waste of time. The time spent can be used on more important subjects, especially subjects the student actually enjoys that they can base a career off of in the future. |

Advanced math is basically aids. It's extremely pointless and only exists to make our lives harder. Edited by Zach, Jan 30 2018, 06:36 AM.

I'm Asian and defy stereotypes since I used to be dumb as a rock concerning advanced hs mathematics. Shit like algebra gets tricky, and I had to take private lessons for Grade 8 and Grade 9 algebra after school. There was something about T=3/Y that I could not fucking get. It would have helped if someone had explained variables to me sooner. |

I'm taking remedial math too along with other gen ed classes and it's actually cool, the class is really relaxing. I don't mind it at all, but sometimes it's a bit difficult to solve some of the problems. The professor is a chill guy too.

I actually love math! I was always good at it. Math is about logic and reasoning, and about opening your mind up to new and different perspectives. I enjoy problem solving. It's similar to playing a game in a way.
