Does anyone here want to get married? What do you think of marriage as a whole.

I would love to get married, and even have children of my own. It's been my dream ever since I was little to one day get married and be a good wife to my husband, but I've had so many bad experiences with men in the past that I don't know if I will ever get married. Sometimes I give up on the thought altogether because the thought of a perfect marriage almost seems too good to be true sometimes... |

I don't really think about marriage. I just want to be independent and happy, and as long as I have friends who I can count on then that's all I need. I'm not a very romantic person anyway and I'm a bit of a narcissist so I don't think I'd be a very good wife anyways. XD |

Marriage is a contract that benefits the woman more than the man. It means nothing other than wage slavery. It's just a big waste of time and money on a stupid ceremony that means nothing. Don't forget that 50% of marriages end in divorce so seriously why go through the trouble? Marriage just makes you miserable eventually. |

When I was 16, I thought it would be super cool and amazing to get married and thought everything would be in place for me for the rest of my life. A nice perfect husband for me to love forever who would treat me like a lady and help me whenever I needed it. But now that I'm older and have met many miserable married women my perspective changed. Yes it is nice beautiful feeling when you've recently been married to the person you love, but marriage involves faith and commitment to the person you love, and people have a tendency to change their behavior over time, often for worse. No one is perfect and too many people change. |
