A band kicks you in the ass. They play riffs that are hard to master. Is this skill or talent or both? https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-skill-and-talent Edited by Warlizard, Mar 26 2018, 05:01 PM.

Usually ppl mean skill I feel but talent is often a part of it. Like I play violin pretty well but I practiced it for years since I was 6 and had a passion for it at the time I started, and people tell me I'm talented?? So it's just one of those words where the meaning kinda changed with time or so. |

Skill: the ability to do something well; expertise. Talent: natural aptitude or skill. Talent comes naturally, skill does not. We often mistake hard work for talent, it is not. It's difficult to measure talent in a literal sense, but it's not difficult to measure skill. |

People have natural aptitudes and imperatives, especially regarding certain musical styles. So I would say it's a mix of talent and skill, but usually a lot more skill than talent if we're being technical. |
