The Toronto van attack was a vehicle-ramming attack that occurred on April 23, 2018, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A man later identified as Alek Minassian allegedly drove a rented van at speed through the North York City Centre business district, deliberately trying to hit pedestrians, killing 10 and injuring 16, some critically. The attack started at the intersection of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue, and proceeded south along the sidewalks of Yonge Street to near Sheppard Avenue. The 25-year-old Minassian was arrested uninjured just south of the crime scene, after attempting to provoke a police officer to kill him. The arrest was made at 1:32 p.m., seven minutes after the first 9-1-1 call reporting the incident was made. The incident is the deadliest vehicle-ramming attack in Canadian history.

Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Alek Minassian, who had no prior criminal history.[22][23] According to his LinkedIn profile, he was a student at Seneca College in North York from 2011 to 2018 and lives in Richmond Hill, a suburb north of Toronto.[24] He was a software and mobile app developer.[24] His former classmates at Thornlea Secondary School described him as "not overly social" and "harmless".[25][26]

In late 2017, Minassian enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces for two months, before requesting voluntary release after 16 days of recruit training.[27] A senior military official said that Minassian "wasn't adapting to military life, including in matters of dress, deportment and group interactions in a military setting" and "there were no red flags and nothing that would point to anything like this."[28]

Following the attack, a Facebook post attributed to Minassian circulated online which indicated he may have identified himself as an incel ("involuntary celibate").[29][30] The incel subculture consists of online communities, primarily made up of men, whose members define themselves by not being able to get sex.[31] The post, dated to shortly before the beginning of the attack on April 23, read:

Private (Recruit) Minassian Infantry 00010, wishing to speak to Sgt 4chan please. C23249161. The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger![32][33]

Seemingly harmless and innocent, Minassian appeared to live in his own world, he said. “He didn’t talk,” Fakhteh said. “He ran away from girls. If you bothered him, he might hiss at you.”

^ LMAO.

Also, this. He was an incel inspired by Elliot Rodger, and obviously had mental disabilities like OCD and autism/aspbergers.

Basically an angry virgin, like most of Trumps fanbase, with the exception of those who are into incest. The whole "Incel Rebellion" thing just makes this all look like an unfunny joke because that's cringy and pathetic as fuck.

Oh btw have a laugh. https://www.reddit.com/r/IncelTears/ :)

The "All hail the supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger" part is hilarious. :D What a faggot! Now that he's going to prison he doesn't have to worry about being celibate anymore. ^o)

Have these guys not heard of masturbation? I can't but help feel that half of the world's problems would be solved if people just knocked one out instead of getting insanely angry.

I think this society of socially inept people needs to be addressed. A lot of young people are not attaining the proper social skills necessary to form any type of human relations. Imagine being a young person with raging hormones and no matter what you do you can not seem to make any meaningful human connections. I am not making an excuse for this behavior. I am saying as a society we need to address the reasons why this is happening and how we as a society can help properly teach the next generation how to be more social. I believe this digital age we currently live in is largely responsible for this problem.

Lol. Why.

If someone is a social reject it's not societies fault, it's their own damn fault for being abnormal. This has nothing to do with having zero social skills, this is different. This is literally just some freaky introverted autistic loser with no personality who didn't belong in society and blamed other people for it.
