As someone who eats everything I never understood pickiness. I don't even care about brands that much. |

I don't think picky eaters are spoiled, and if you're talking about brands (Like hating pizza hut and loving dominos) that's just people having taste preferences for different recipes. As for myself I do consider myself a picky eater to some extent. I'll generally try most foods with an open mind, but if you - for example - serve me a burger that hasn't been seasoned at all I probably won't eat it. I've also been pretty picky about ice cream and dislike cheap flavorless ice creams. If I'm eating something 'vanilla flavored' I better taste the vanilla, and it better taste like real vanilla instead of the cheap fake stuff. Edited by Subliminal, Jul 8 2018, 12:03 PM.

I have a strong bitter sense of taste so I can't stand bitter foods. Mushy and soft foods activate my gag reflex at times. |

Pickiness is not only a taste thing but a texture thing, but I'm convinced it's mostly psychological. Some people even have medical or dietary reasons to be picky, among many other possible reasons. Usually people just have a taste for what they consider to be the best of a specific type of food though. |
