When the people of Zaman's world came to find out that their beloved leader was killed by a kid named Vivace, they panicked. Would this kid be the new leader? What was the new hope for their land? All we have to do now is hope that he'll make the right decisions & will care about his people just as Zaman did, despite how he seemed to hate them. Just wait to see how everything turns out. Or is it just November 20, 2008 today?
aaand is there a monarchy/established leader of some sort?

 Well, in the world of Paths, there is no time. Sure, time passes in your real world, but in reality, nobody keeps track of time, despite annual events.

Now as far as the government, there has been a VERY recent change in rule. Although, before the change, there was one powerful man controlling everything. His name was Zaman. He claimed that the world was within his head; teased others about how they could not kill him. Under Zaman was his advisories, I guess you could call them. They were Kenzy & Kennith's parents and also Madeline and Seth's adoptive father. Although, a 13 year old kid named Vivace killed Zaman and has established himself "god".
