Maddy stood before the mirror in Jeffrey's hotel room. Her hand rested on her still flat stomach. She prayed that whatever had happened was all good. She turned around in a flash as Jeff entered the room. She greeted him with a smile, "Hey, what's up?" |

She wrapped her arms around him, overjoyed to see him, "Seven and a half weeks." She had counted the days, hoping not to seem too awkward, "Why?" She kissed his cheek, hugging him again. |

We left the inn and went to go to the nearest hospital. It's not like she was going into labor... yet. I walked up to the front desk and signed Maddy in. I took a seat and began feeling a little bit nervous. |

Maddy held his hand tightly, "Don't worry..." Her cold eyes met his, "Do you want kids?" The pain in her lower stomach still resided, yet she was getting better at hiding it. |

I chuckled and stared off into space, "I've always wanted kids. I guess you could say I wanted to be a good father because I had a great one." I was stuck in that trance until a nurse walked into the room. "Madeline?" |

Maddy squeezed his hand, "You'll be a great father whether it's now or not." She kiss his cheek, "Here goes nothing." She stood up hesitantly and followed the nurse through the halls of the small hospital. She sat atop the check-up table and waited for the doctor. ((Is Jeff staying in the waiting room?)) A white haired man opened the door with a clipboard in his hands and a pen in his mouth. "Soooo... What are you guys in here for?" He sat in a swivel chair and rolled over in front of the table. Maddy caught Jeff's glance, blushing slightly, "Well... There's a possibility that..." She swallowed nervously, "That there's a child on the way." The doctor wrote on the piece of paper he had, nodding, "Okay, we'll test you immediately. If there is a kid, what are your plans on action?" "We're keeping it." |

"Well, in order for Madeline and the father to keep the child, they have to prove that they are financially stable. Although, we don't know if there is even a kid at all." He swiveled to a cabinet to find a needle to draw blood, "Is the father older than eighteen?" "No," Maddy shook her head. "Okay, then you have no worries legally." He swiveled back to Maddy with the needle, tapping it. He tied a piece of plastic around her forearm and struck her skin with the tiny needle, which quickly filled with blood. "Are you and your brother going to stay here for the next half hour to wait for the results or is there a number I should call later this week?" |

"Okay," He swiveled out of the room, leaving the door close as he left. "Brother?" She chuckled, "I hope they don't do DNA testing for your sake. Just when it comes time for the birth certificate..." She blushed, "That is if there is a kid." |
