I'm interested. Say, what do you think of Demons' lifespan. I know they are either immortal or have a rather extended lifespan (like 5000 years). |

Demons in this world don't have a long lifespan. They only live for 300 years if I recall. |

They come from another continent but there are demons roaming around. In this rp if you become a demon you don't have a racial home. There is one place though on this continent there is a large concentration of demons in the Charred valley. So i suggest if you do make a demon you choose your kingdom alignment there. |

Here's my bio: Name: Phyron Percyrus Race: Demon Age: 149 years old Height: 7' 08'' ft. in Demon Form / 6' 04'' ft in Human Form Weight: 313 lb. in Demon Form / 231 lb. in Human Form Alignment: Neutral (Leans a bit towards Chaos and Evil) Kingdom Alignment: The Charred Valley (Only by birthplace) Class: Demonic Warrior Appearance: Demon Form (Armored)/(Unarmored), Human Form Equipment: -Blazing Pyrus: The twin greatswords are immolated in blazing fire on command, and cause severe burns when the blade are in contact with something. The blades are said to eat the souls of those they slay. In fact, when someone is slain by these swords, he turns into dark ashes, rendering resurection impossible, unless a very powerful resurection spell is used. They shapeshift into katanas when Phyron changes to Human Form, though they can retain their blazing ability. -Volcanus: Phyron' red armor is always warm to the touch, even in winter condition. The armor protects the wearer from fire, and aborbs magical fire hurled at the armor and it's wearer. The spikes on the armor are lethal to those who tries to close too much on Phyron. The armor disappears when Phyron assume Human Form. Abilities/Magic: -Hell's Fire: Phyron, as a Demon, is able to draw upon the powers of Element Fire. He can perform various spells using this ability, such as throwing fireballs, firebolts, immolating himself and creating a nova of fire. Also, he can alter the fire so he can give it a shape for a short amount of time. -Fire's Blessing: When standing in fire, Phyron heals himself spiritually and physically. This ability is not applied when Phyron uses Hell's Fire or the blazing ability of his Soul Eaters. Also, this ability disappears when Phyron enter Human Form. When he actually stands in the fire in Human Form, the flesh melts, and Phyron reverts to his Demon Form. -Human Form: Phyron has developed a liking to transform himself into a human to walk amongst the common of people. It gives him a better chance of talking with people without worrying about them screaming he's a Demon. Strengths: As a Demon, Phyron is very powerful, both physically and with magic. His physical strength allows him to wield a greatsword single-handedly, which he takes as an opportunity to use two of them. He is a master of dual swordplay, even if they are greatswords. Given his slow reflexes, Phyron blocks attacks with his swords, few weapons can bypass his massive blades in Demon Form, and even less can resist the impact of those massive blades. In human form, he's a bit more agile, and can afford to make some decent dodges. Weakness: Phyron favors brute strength combat style, doing so makes him considerably slower to react to surprise attacks or fast attackers. Because of his tieings to Fire, Phyron is vulnerable to Element Water. Phyron will never allow himself to stand in water, even if it doesn't affect him. Also, he dislikes Holy symbols, and would likely not stand in a holy site. His blocking ability is also reduced in Human Form, though Phyron rarely fights in his Human form. Personnality: Unlike most Demons with the Fire attribute, who are fierce, bold and straightforward, Phyron prefer a more subtle approach of the situation. He loves to listen to what common people has to say. He is so unpredictable that no ones know where his loyalty lies and what he might do in any given situation. Troubles in the land interests him, and his curious personality drives him to investigate, whoever he has to face. Such "investigations" led him to having a few ironic friends in the past, such as a Paladin and a Light Priest when he was investigating who was behind the destruction of a temple of Guiding Light in the far lands. In combat situation, he cast his subtlety aside and let his inner rage explode, fighting as fiercly as a Dragon, and show no mercy on foes. He dislikes Holy symbols, but not as much as some of his kind. He would likely to not stay in a holy site, but he will do so if he is currently investigating. I'm tempted to join this, though I have some questions first. The half-dragons? Does their appearance differ from normal humans? Does unknowingly mean they don't know they're actually dragon? Are they able to shapeshift into a dragon? About the story. Will the story continue with the parts posted on the LPF, or will it be a 'new' story? Hmmm do I have other questions..? Oh! Right! What about those 'lawful' and 'chaotic' parts in alignment? Which are there to choose from? And that's about it I guess. |

Half dragons are the result of a non-dragon and dragon conception which is only done by supernatural means. Obvious point but the different between a half dragon and half dragon is that they born as the mortal counterpart. Human + dragon = Half dragon(Born in a appearance of a human) There has never been a female dragon impregnated by a male non dragon. Its impossible and very awkward for a female dragon socially and other means. Female dragons are normally head of a group or clan of dragons there needs are always met. While Male dragons have to fight for the love of one female dragon so sometimes the peskey male dragons turn into humanoids and impregnate mortals or they go without any action for the current mating season. Dragon + Dragon = Dragon(Born as a dragon) Obviously. Half dragons can turn into a full dragon appearance, but their sizes are smaller and their control over magic is weaker overall. But Half dragons have the advantage of making a certain body part like their hand into a dragons claw. While dragons can't, if they want to use their claws against you they have to turn into a full dragon from a humanoid form. Lord Arthur is an example of a full dragon, in the other roleplay on the lucian forums he twice changed into full dragon just to attack. Must Half-dragons know who they are because they are brought up by the nearest group of dragons, some mortal parents bring them up on there own but are often visited by the father who will teach them how to harness their dragon powers. Just to clarify they can shape-shift into a dragon only after they discover it by accident and or is taught by the father or a local group of dragons. This race is very honourable and uphold their bonds with any dragon even if they are halfbreeds. The story's direction will be the same as on the LPF. But for the sake of not repeating events that already happened on LPF I will mix it up a bit. Lawful and chaotic is really if you follow the laws of the land or not. Its not really a choice needed as its defined by your actions. |

In total, there's 9 choices of alignments: Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil. We all know what Good and Evil stands for. Lawful implies that someone will be inclined to follows the rules, being honest, acts by tradition, obey to authority and is fair-play. Chaotic is the opposite of Lawful. It's someone who will often disobey orders, doesn't care about traditions, sneaky and not fair. As for a character with Neutral in the Good/Evil axis, he will probably do whatever it takes to achieve his goal. EX: A Neutral Evil character will sometimes obey to authority for a long period of time in order to become the King's personal guard and assassinate him, knowing that a member of his cast must never be implied with anything linked to a member of the Royal Family. A Neutral Good character will work for townsguard to know where the gold is stashed, until he will know enough of the guards' shift and the best plan to steal the gold and give it to the poor. Neutral with the Lawful/Chaotic axis don't care about what is good or evil, and to achieve his goal, he will not bother himself to what is good or bad. EX:A Lawful Neutral character will work for his boss no matter what he orders him to do. Usually, a Lawful Neutral character is blind to anything but the traditions and the one who commands him. It's also the perfect alignment for a judge. A Chaotic Neutral character doesn't even care what it takes to achieve his plans. He's ready to kill, steal, break the rules and being dishonest to suceed, without being fanatic about murdering. That's my personal view of alignements. Don't take it literally, exceptions can be made to create your character in a unique way. However, Wolfe has a final say on alignements, since he's the GM. Thanks. Additional questions, oh how I love questions. Do half-dragons have the lifespan of normal humans? Are half-dragons always aligned to the Dragon Isles, or can they choose their kingdom when they're raised there by their mother? Or, also a possibility, are they aligned to both their kingdom and the Dragon Isles? Also thank you for the info on alignments, Max. Edited by BeastWarrior Nocturne, Dec 29 2010, 11:11 PM.

I know those but I don't think its really needed to choose. Because most of the time people pick an alignment and still breaks it during the rp or is hindered by their choice of alignment. That choice should be left by your actions, let the reader decide weather your actions is good or evil or lawful or chaotic. |

Lets say Kingdom alignment is really your home. Wolfie's home is Wolveshaven so his will be wolveshaven. Lara is the Wood elf princess so naturally it will be the Elf kingdom of As'lera. It also can come down to loyalty or personal choice. If your demon than you will be forced to choose the charred valley as normally demons aren't accepted among the other mortal races. Considering the large concentration of demons in that valley was leftovers from a large army during a war years in the past. But overall the kingdom alignment is really another option to define your character's history or loyalty. The dragon society is mainly based round the ancient clans during the dragon age, which isn't really need to know but still spices up their tensions between each other. In this rp the dragon society is commonly aligned to the dragon isles if there loyal to the Dragonqueen. But of cause some dragons or half-dragons are loyal to the other mortal kingdoms down to personal history. BTW the dragonqueen is alinged to Legion's point as thats were she currently resides and is loyal to the reason of being there. Half-dragons do sadly have the same lifespan of their non dragon parent. And again, being aligned to a kingdom is personal choice. You can be loyal to the queen and to a mortal kingdom. An example is Lord Arthur who is loyal to the queen and wolveshaven. It's personal choice down to history. |

In most case, I've always suggested that the GM should keept track of specific actions that can affect the alignement of the character. That isn't really necessary, unless a situation restraint some alignements, such as a sword that can only be wielded by Good characters, or an Evil temple that harms those who are not evil. But Alignement is just a little add-on people add on their bio to describe what they are. |

Don't worry. If you commit an evil act then suspect a response to your actions. Like a local law biding force or the currently zealous paladin order will bring you to justice. If you commit something good then npcs may give you something as a thank you. Your actions will be watched carefully as it will also effect the direction of the story, but a warning there are some events which can't be avoided and will happen no matter what. But your actions in those cases will decided how that event effects the situation. |

Nice, that was something I was hoping to hear. Nothing's better than having feedback on a character's actions. |
