So in short you want us to do a full background story of the characters' major events in their life? I guess I can do something like that, it'll just be like those times I had to write stories for my D&D characters.

Dungeons & Dragons?

I'll write something too.. I guess. I don't have too much time on my hands coming week honestly, looking at it that way, I'm kind of relieved Kaethos isn't continuing as fast now. Currently working on a project in which I have to reflect my vision on "Death". I hate school.. so much. Next week is filled with tests, and studying for those tests, though I'll still try to be online here in the evenings, like I always am. No way I'm filling my whole day with studying. I enjoy my private time.

Reflection on "Death" for philosphy classes? Sounds so bad.

Indeed. The previous subject was "evil", what a cheerful year this is don't you think? xD
Ah well, I've stated I don't agree with the fact that "death" is forced upon us by our teacher. I think he'll understand why after reading.

Well, that should definitely keep me busy for a while. Although considering both of my characters are millenia old, that might be a challenge detailing their entire lives...

That sure can be quite a project, depending what kind of characters we got.

I probably won't get around to it. Writing backstories is one thing. Writing a characters entire life is more effort then I care to put into most characters. Not to say I don't have such things in mind, but typing it all out takes forever. I'd rather convince my dwarves to build the freaking still already.

Just write the backstory then. Having less informations isn't that bad, I guess.

Should we fit this all into one post or can we spread it out over several parts?

I'm also reluctant to go into great length about my character's entire history. Sure I write a brief background for them, but in cases like this where they can be killed, it seems like it would be wasted effort to create an in-depth look at them...

Eh, I know what you mean. When I was playing D&D, my friend (who is also the gamemaster) wanted every character to have their backstory written somewhere, be it on a sheet of paper or on the computer. Most of the time I end up writing a two-to-three pages on Word for every character I make, and they die like 2 games later.

I gues that's why I lost the will to play D&D...

As for regrouping the backstories, I think it would be better that each player posts their own backstory, instead of regrouping them into a single post. The reason is, in the Book of Lore, Wolfe puts links in the first post that leads directly to the information someone seeks.

No, I mean with our own characters. Of course I wouldn't want all the players' backgrounds to be clumped together in one post. What I'm asking is if whatever reason a character's background would reach the character(by which I mean writing) limit, would they need to compress it into one post or would spreading it over two or three posts be acceptable?
