@Dig: Well done with the alignement. i'm not a fanatic of searching through Wikipedia or such, which results in blurry explanations of things. So yeah, well done.
Funny enough, it was quoted from Wikipedia. It's the D&D alignment explanation.

Alrighty then, that's what I needed to know. I was curious though, as my bio reads I'm a descendant of an earth dragon, I was wondering if there are several clans of elemental dragons? Or are they just mixed together? Or worse, is there only one kind of dragon?
And something else. Do you have additional info on the kingdoms you could post here? Like the landscapes of the different countries & such stuff. Just wondering if you have them already, you don't have to come up with something just for me. (Yes I love lots a info and lots a questions)

There are elemental dragons, but they don't normally group together down to type. Clan's are a thing of the past for dragons since the end of the dragon age. Which now they surviving under one leader and not many.

The Dragon Queen.

I started doing overview about such places. Which can be found here -> http://z8.invisionfree.com/RoL/index.php?showtopic=2454

One of the kingdoms has been influenced by the dragons so much their own clans are based of the old dragon clans.

Quote:

The land of Remense, home to the humans of the republic. This land was named after a great dragon who once ruled these lands before the humans. That dragon's fate has long been forgotten. As one of the few remaining homes to the human race this land boasts no royal family unlike the others. Instead it is ruled by a council whose members are from the leaders of the five great clans that roam the land. This political system was inspired by their neighbours, who has the same political system until the collapse of dragon society, which forced the dragons to work together and follow one leader(Dragonqueen). The clans are actually named after each dragon isle found off coast

Jamik - Found in the north west of the country, their clan colours are the green dragon. They boast magical users who uses the sand as their weapon. And control a city with the same name.

Riandur - Found in the north coast of the country, their clan colours are the blue wyrm. They boast powerful archers. They also control a port city with the same name.

Laracal - Found on the southern boarders of the country, their clan colours are the Orange sun. Being the smallest clans they boast powerful warriors and their whole society is based round the concept of a warrior. They control a town of the same name.

Cibrock - Found in the east, their clan colours are the red dragon. Being the largest of the clan their city is home to the council. They boast the finest Calvary in the land.

Tiamath - Found in the middle of the country, their clan colours are the shadowed wall. Their city is hard to find, hidden in the most hostel place of the country. They are the centre of the republic's secret army of assassins.

There are few less known towns and villages who are home to smaller clans, normally called after the ruling family's name rather then a name of the dragon islands.

Being close to the dragon lands have influnced their country greatly, not knowing if dragons walk among the humans they show great respect for their neighbours and fend of any dragonslayer in an attempt to earn their reptilian cousins trust. There are also rare and precious items made by the flames of powerful dragons, given them greater strength then even drawfen made weapons. But they are very hard to obtain as dragons in the Remense republic don't show their identity very often.

There's also information about Wolveshaven the city where everybody will start in.

Quote:

Wolveshaven was founded by the knights of the silver wolf, it served as a strategical watch point during 'The Second Titan War.' The location is surrounded by a range of mountains that forms a semi circle, within lays a forest which the watch point expanded into the city it has become today. The humans that settled there created a giant wall from one side of the mountain range to the other, closing the city within the mountains, making it a very defensible location.

Even if the city closed itself from the world for many years, outside, nature took its place. Recovering from the scars of the Titan war, small woodlands started to cover the landscape and rivers formed from the many ditches made by the clashing armies eight thousand years prior to current events. The waterfall near the walls that covers the secret entrance outside the city brings life to the location. The sound of crashing waves and small fairies make the waterfall their home, it's location so near the walls of Wolveshaven makes it a vocal point when heading towards the city's entrance.

Within the city lays the location of its founder, the watch point which is long gone and now replaced by a large fortress which towers over the walls. Currently the flagpolls hoists the symbol of the empire, but you can notice the fade reminder of their past as torn flags of their country is still used within the homes and minds of the Wolveshaven people.

Further north past the fortress is a crossroad, if you headed left down the wooded area, you will find the 'Church of the Guiding light.*' To the right down the off-road path you will be lead to the farming area of the city, which was set up to provide food to the population doing time of siege, making the city almost self sufficient. This place was the most peaceful part of the city, being cut off from the market by a long road and a border of trees and rivers.
If you go further north from the crossroads will lead you to the market, which is considered the largest in the whole region. Market stalls, Inns and pubs. The most famous of hang out points is the Golden Arm Inn, who serve people like Ace, Uther and Jaina.

In the middle of the market area lays a mysterious tree, it's protected by armed guard while being studied by the mages of the city. What makes its mysterious is the type of tree, which would normally die in this type of climate. To the north of the market area lays the Palace which the prince calls home, it's not the biggest of all palaces. Being the home of Wolveshaven's fallen monarch, it remains as a reminder of the crises that plagued the city fourteen years ago.

To the west of the market area is the Arena built by the Empire. A large Colosseum to host Gladiatorial events; this was the empires' attempt to create support within the city by giving them something to keep their mind off their occupation.

Finally to the east of the market area lays the Tunka settlement, this area is recently new. It was built only a few years ago to give the Tunka survivors a home. It has various Guilds representing the assassin clans, the largest one is home to Jaina and her clan who rules the survivors with respect. The tree like buildings which are home to the Shaman side of their heritage are plotted slightly deeper into the eastern part of the mountains.

Wolveshaven's natural defensible location and near self sufficient upkeep has made it a very desirable location. Despite never officially being conquered, it's biggest strength also proved to be its weakest, as it caused the death of their long lost king. This allowed the Regent Lord to take charge, who still continues to lead the Wolveshaven people to this day.

I will do others in the future, mainly when we get to those places in the roleplay.

Interesting, I like it!
Was wondering, could I change my kingdom alignment to Remense Republic (Jamik)? I think that would suit my character's build and history better.

Go ahead.

But you will still start in Wolveshaven. Because of the Arena event... but with a twist..

I know we're starting in Wolveshaven, which is why I'd rather have another kingdom alignment. Wouldn't be fun if we'd visit my own kingdom first.

Edit: This RP is giving me a very.. TES feeling.. ah how I want Skyrim to come out next year.

True, my character just has strong ties to that city. You will see why when the rp starts.

EDIT: Tes feeling?

TES is quite a great universe, this reminds me of it. The empire seizing control over other kingdom's. In TES the Imperials (humans native to cyrodiil) whilst physically one of the weaker races, have seized control over several kingdoms too. The emperor in TES sharing close bonds to Akatosh (Dragon-god). Skyrim (released on 11-11-2011) will probably have a dragon in the game. Demons in Kaethos hated by mankind. Daedra (demons) hated by mortals, whilst they do have their plain of existence (Oblivion), though some Daedric lords are worshipped by the Dunmer (Dark Elves). Kaethos has 3 groups of elves, wood, blood & ebony. TES has wood elves (bosmer), high elves (altmer) and dark elves (dunmer). Cyrodiil was once inhabited by the Heartland High elves (Ayleid) whom are now though extinct.
Such things give me an Elder Scrolls feeling, which is good because I think TES games are the best RPGs ever made.

Oh and the Tunka, catlike people? TES has khajiit, which are basically large cats walking on two legs, also the most agile race.

Kaethos is a large universe. But even though how you put it things sounds similar there are major differences. One and foremost the Kurop. A major difference and probably the whole story is based around the idea of the Kurop; for what they represent, their struggles, the beauty of choice and other things that makes us mortal. Despite all the good things they represent they also show the dark side of life. War, oppression and death.

Let's just say it makes for a good story in my eyes. And hopefully you will enjoy it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Kaethos is based on TES, I'm merely saying Kaethos reminds me of TES. Major differences are indeed the Kurop, TES has Akavir, another continent with four races, tiger-folk whom are trying to become dragons, demons, apes and vampiric-serpents. Though the game has never been there, the stories you hear about it already make you wish you could visit the place. The Kurops, whilst quite different, remind me of Tiber Septim though. The Emperor who conquered all of Tamriel and gave the Imperials their provincial powers, he became the ninth Divine after his death, much like a Kurop in a way.

If you have 30 pounds or something which you don't know how to spend? Buy TES:IV Oblivion, play the game, read the books you come across, complete the guild quests. After 200 hours you know how vast just one single province is, and you can only imagine how large the whole continent of Tamriel is, let alone its universe.
You might even come across some ideas to improve or expand Kaethos.

Well. The Kaethos story line is complete as of boxing day. On my family forum I''ve posted the conclusion of the saga. So I don't know if I will rewrite the lore once again. Unless I think of a new storyline to base in that world... eh. Anyway currently there is...

Five main roleplay.
41 short stories made by members of my family.
1 crossover story (The Element thief)

The story is solid and the ending is subjective in the roleplay. Meaning there will be different endings which makes roleplaying kaethos for me a new experience every time.

Its a forum intended for my family members to stay in contact as not everybody uses facebook or messenger. Anyway we have our own roleplaying story section and of course I started kaethos on there when I was banned on the LPF. We just finished the whole saga.
