Then why is he wearing the hood to hide? I mean that's the opposite of stealthy. And yes they are. But hearing about such copycats would be really hard without a frigging telephone. I severely doubt every spy is a mage capable of distance communications to boot.

TV is how people obviously instantly recognize him. Sorta like how most people would instantly recognize Justin Bieber. Best explanation I can come up with because word of mouth isn't enough description to instantly recognize someone generally. Not unless it;s super blatant or they were already thinking about the guy right then and there maybe.

Fortunately Val just figures humans have a sixth sense so she won't run off with your hood for the blatant foolishness that it is.

I see dead people. Well, I see half of them, 'cause I'm a halfblood.

Because he purposely used the image of the Golden warrior, to try and influence the people that the empire was involved.

You do know people used letters before the Telephone. Other then being in a different setting. Mages can communicate over long distances. Teleport can allow people to travel faster. In the dark ages Dwarfs and gnomes are developing communications devices through STEAM tech. Oh god.
Kaethos has its own version of communication. But never doubt the use of messengers who's sole purpose is to deliver news.

Also that's why it took three weeks for the Empire council to find out about the Wolveshaven attack.
Does this mean they will get an accurate picture? No it doesn't. But I think words alone can pretty much say. This guy seems to have golden armor. Always wearing a hood.

How about somebody purposely creating the image to stir the conversation up? They saw a man who seemed to have golden armor, hooded and wings. A few people believed that is him. Doesn't mean everybody agrees that it was him. I said a discussion broke out in response.

You said some of the crowd saw him and recognized and half didn't see him which sparked conversation. So it's not very clear. And yes messengers exist. And by the time they arrive, chances are the copycats gone. But that brings up a different point, if copycats exist, people would be more suspicious.

And he put on the hood to become much harder to track or be recognized by... Being easier to track and be recognized? You give one motivation then claim it was another one entirely. You can't do that outside of speech, it confuses the hell out of the people reading it.

Wouldn't steam telephones burn your ears? Or at least completely drown out what you are trying to convey?

Heh. It amuses me that Salem said what Val's been thinking the whole way.

Salem's really not sure what she's going to do if he argues. She has a general idea though, but she'd rather not go there. Now that I think about it, she has to ideas, but she'd rather not fall back on either of those.

Val's probably going to be yelling at Wolfie a lot in the meantime. I foresee her having a stress induced headache again by the time she returns.

Me thinks you're the one who's going to have a headache if you take on the big cat. It's a Kurop afterall.

Too many pages to check. So I ask:

Did Wolfie, who really needs to change his title, look at Veros yet?
