Wow more than I expected. Made a misake on the place's name sorry, and I put Tunkan because I figured you know, he is Tunkan. Not, he is a Tunka. Whatever though! So pretty much different character. I like scythes so *shrug*. As for striking spear, yes he bypasses armor, by breaking his knuckles against it.

Anywho, I REALLY didn't expect this character to be allowed, and so I'll actually make the one I thought WOULD. Yay denial!

Scythe is very fun, it's just abit impractical if you aren't a giant or on a horse.

Don't suspect a post from me until morning in GMT time. I'm busy with other matters, like watching a movie with Lara.

I'm still trying to decide between knives, and a sword and shield. Knives would be light and fast, blade would be heavy and meh.

I mean armor.

Half your height yes, but it might as well be a sickle then, no? But either way.

Given the vast amount of swords, knives and shields, you've a fairly wide choice. Realistically speaking, if you want a shield, you'll probably want to use a bludgeoning weapon. But as it's an rp, feel free to one hand a greatsword.

I wouldn't use a knife though. Dagger sure; but not a knife. Stiletto might serve best in that role, since it deals with chain armor effectively.

Generally, blades work best on no to light armor opponents. Bludgeoning instruments work best on heavy opponents. Axes tend to fall somewhere between the two. Polearms are best against cavalry and no armor, depending on the polearm of course. Persnally I like the lochaber axe, but I'm biased.

But yeah. If you want to use a blade, your best bet is a heavy one if you ever intend to fight heavily armored opponents. Lighter blades simply don't have the force to do more then irritate them unless you get a lucky shot.

Then gain, rp so lucky shot is kinda a silly idea, haha.

Whats a lucky shot?

Seeing as if the reciever wants it to hit, it hits however they want, everybody gets to play god now and then. *maniac giggle*

Ahem... Zweihänder, sword and shield, and magic based fisticuffs are pretty much the only weapons (that aren't scythes) that I like.

I bet you're still trying to figure out what a zweihänder is.

There's alot of weapons out there. Zweihander is the hand and a half sword, aka german for "two hander". It's lighter then the greatsword, and while difficult to do given how big and heavy they are, you can one hand them.

Magic punches have long been decent enough, though not alwys the safest method I find. There's just some targets you don't want to touch or get close to. It's as effective as anything else really, since some things you don't want to stand a long distance from either.

Though have you seen some of the other weapons out there? The roman gladiators had alot of weird and occasionally effectiv weaponry. The net, harpoon, spiked chain, trident etc.

Zweihander is probably one of the better choices probbaly. It has the weight to do damage to heavy targets. You'll want heavy armor if you use it though, to copensate for a lack of shield. I find the Flail, which is my favorite weapon by the way, besides the lochaber axe, is the best weapon for fighting though. Mostly from horseback admittedly, but still. But it's your call.

As a general rule, heavier armor is more effective if you intend to be in melee for any reason. If you do not, then lighter armor is sufficient for the mobility, if any at all. Heavier weapons are more effective in combat, Axes being the most versatile generaly. Swords were actually side arms historically but that doesn't need to be a factor.

Attempt number 2!
Quote:

Name: Tayaru (Called Tay) Mizuka.
Race: Tunka
Age: 19
Height: 5'9
Weight: 167 pounds
Alignment: Neutral (generally leans towards good though)
Kingdom Alignment: Wolveshaven (Mainly by birth)
Class: Warrior
Appearance: His ears and tale have black fur, but the tips are white. All of his clothes are black, he wears a form-fitting elbow-length shirt, and a coat that is slightly too big, with the sleeves rolled up (he generally removes it when fighting). Wears straight pants, that are slightly tight (but not form-fitting). He has pale skin, yellow eyes, and black hair that goes a bit past his eyes.
Equipment: Knee-length greaves that are flexible at the feet, and chain mail beneath his shirt. (it is light, but strong) As well as elbow-length gauntlets, with sharp(ish) fingers.
Lobotomizer: A straight sword that is serrated. It is about 3 feet long, with a hand-and-a-half hilt. Despite the name, he rarely uses it to sever limbs.
Buckler: Does this really need an explanation!?
Abilities/Magic:
Striking spear: What looks like a circle of black lightning hovers slightly above his hand, and when it comes into direct contact, it deals LIGHT internal damage. It basically just makes you sore wherever he hits.
Twin Spear: Double striking spear.
Razor Wave: Basically, he swings his blade and a wave of magic emnates from it (easily dodgable/blockable) serves mainly as a distraction.
Lobotomize: His blade gets surrounded by an aura, and appears to become a greatsword (without the weight) for about 5 minutes or so. Deals slightly more damage than normal, and cannot be used more than once a day.
Strengths and personality: Being a Tunka, he is extremely agile, and very flexible. He generally tries to close in and do hand to hand combat. He can be a spirited youth at times, but at others he is quiet and collected. Spends a lot of his time reading.
Weakness: Heavily armored foes, ranged opponents, heavy magic users. People who are mean (he does his best to make people happy, and when he is sad, he refuses to fight. Unless he's angry.)

I went with a basic sword, he has armor and mobility, and will STILL probably be hated on!:D
