Don't worry bout golems. Those are easy. They are only as effective as the guy controlling it. If he's not around, just don;t let it see you.

I bet I know what this golem is.

Also, I only now recalled that Merites has a more funkier form than a simple elf. Whoops. Will mention that in next post, let's act like the previous one was in the same tone as well eh?

Yes indeed. I'm also preparing the city description and the missions objectives for each of you. Don't forget my day job and my daddy duties. But now I'm going to snuggle with my other half and watch Wall street, money never sleeps.

Well since this ones not liable to permanently switch forms again this rp, here's Calina Merites/Calina Feint/Calina Gauntlet

Name: Calina Marites
Race: Half Demon Ebon Elf
Age: Old.
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 124
Alignment: CG
Kingdom Alignment: Fields of Elysium
Class: Spark Knight
Appearance: Depending on her Spark Phase, Marites appears differently. In Gauntlet form, she is 6 ' 9" and clad in ornate black platemail that the shadows cling too with gold filigree. It carries a mighty glaive of shadow with a glowing point of bright light in the pommel by the haft.

In Feint form, Merites is 5' 6" and is a lithe figure in tight leather of bright almost blinding light, obscuring it's form. It carries a hand and a half sword of bright light that glows with intensity, except for the smoldering darkness within it's pommel.

In the form of the Spark Knight, Merites is as she normally is. She is a short darker skinned elf with glowing red eyes and hair of smoke and shadow. Her skin seems to have an almost crystalline translucent quality to it. She wears armored robes of bright glowing armored plates overlaying clinging robes of shadow, wearing two golden gauntlets with sharpened fingers to become almost like claws. Within the core of the crystalline body, one can almost see a great light shining through the dusky shadows of her form.

Equipment: Merites' equipment alters as she changes her phases. She lost her whistle in the Fields during her corruption and desperate attempt at preventing her succumbing. Also carries a flask of Shadowdaisy Wine. The stuff packs a punch.

Abilities:

All form abilities.

Spark Shift: Merites has always been a being of dualities. She struggled with her own demonic urges from the demons creation by the God of War, and her own elven nature. She has used this nature to her advantage a bit and has learned to tweak her spark to make certain aspects of herself more prominent as the situation warrants. Her two tweaked aspects are Calina Gauntlet the Umbral Templar and Calina Feint the Luminant Evangelist.

Spark Knight Abilities

Spark Shield: Merites can use her spark to form powerful shields around targets and of various shapes. These can reject or allow what she wishes to pass through them, but she has to concentrate upon the shield for such exceptions. This shield is, of course, risky as attacks upon the shield risk her existence, much like all her abilities.

Spark Warrior: Merites wields her spark as an actual object in combat. Putting her shield around it, she lashes out with it like as a telekinetically controlled ball for beating upon the enemy. She can put lots of force behind it, though the usual shield issue applies.

Spark Unleash: Merites put's literally everything she's got into a blast as she detonates her spark in a focused blast. This will of course, end her existence utterly.

Feint Abilities

Blinding Light: Feint can increase the blinding light she exudes, making it difficult to follow her movements and actions visually. Only excessive darkness of the magical variety can smother her light and reveal her fully.

Purgo: Feint channels her spark through her sword and unleashes a huge wave of energy. This wave eradicates all unnatural life, leaving normal things unharmed. Unnatural life in this case is considered Anomalies, Undead, Dragons, Golems and Shadow-Worlders.

Spark of Shadows: Feint can use her suppressed shadow aspect of her spark to unleash a wave of shadows from her blade. Any caught in this wave have their own shadows animate and assault those they take their image from, becoming semi solid to rain blows on their enemies.

Heaven's Rain: Feint unleashes her light body fully, sending out shearing rays of light in many directions in great blasts, frying those caught in the blasts. Feint is immobile while it is used.

Gauntlet Abilities

Shadow Smite: Gauntlet channels the energy of her spark through the haft of her glaive and unleashes it forwards. All those struck by the slicing waves that fire forth in a line find that the parts of their body sliced are replaced with their shadow and the shadow with their dismembered body parts. This can be used to either dismember foes or leave them intangible spirits with soulless bodies rooting them in place.

Ruinous Grasp: Gauntlet's shadowy glaive splits open and becomes a shadowy clawed hand that stretches out to grasp a target and hold them still and possibly crush them.

Shadow's Cloak: Gauntlet can unleash the shadows clinging to it's armor, covering the area in darkness. Gauntlet can make the shadows unnaturally have thick substance, slowing all movements and projectiles within the shadows.

Spark of Light: Gauntlets haft holds it's spark with it's latent light. Gauntlet can press the haft to an ally to heal them, or to burn a hole straight through unnatural beings.

Strengths and personality: Merites has potent control over her spark, something she has dedicated much of her time as a Kurop too as well as the late years of her life in her bid to evolve beyond the need for her Kurop shell. Gauntlet has great physical strength while Feint has great speed. Personality wise, Merites is a quiet figure in her normal form, spending her time on meditation and trying to strengthen her control over her spark and herself. While in Feint form, she is highly aggressive and active, pursuing all things with great zeal and passion and a little lack of foresight. While in Gauntlet form, Merites is passive but kind, content to work behind the scenes and focus on what she feels is important with high focus and determination.

Weakness: All of Merites' abilities use it's spark. While Merites has built up a tolerance for the stress this causes, Merites still risks her own destruction every time she uses her abilities besides Soul Shift. Her spark also is exposed and thus may be vulnerable in that regard if one can pierce her shields and abilities. In addition, light based magic harms Feint more while Shadow based magic harms Gauntlet more.

History: Merites is an old Kurop, having taken part in the war between the Dragons and Demons while alive. She battled forth against the dragons with the full blooded demons, despite scorn of her heritage. When the Garitia were unleashed with the advent of the Titan's War however, rather than retreat, she fought against the Garitia with the Kaethonians. The Garitia were just destroyers after all, and they were a threat to all. During the war she had close encounters with the Kurop and Ventures, and seen what they could do. Learning of the Spark by accident through the process, she grew fascinated by the subject. She did not see a weapon but as a means to understand her warring heritages of war and peace, of elf and demon.

Thus her studies began then in battle, watching the Kurop, studying the battles and facing down the Garitia. She fell in battle near the end of the war to wounds sustained in a previous battle that had become infected with an unnatural disease. Her actions allowed her to join the Kurop as she was not a full demon and was of enough strength and willingness to battle against such forces again.

It wasn't everything Merites had hoped. She had soon come to find she was unhappy with the effective slavery of her race. They had SOME free will unlike the hive minded Garitia. But it had benefited her research greatly. She now used her research not just as a means to understand and temper herself, but to understand all others. And if the spark was so powerful to be a weapon, to heal, to shield. Could it not eventually not need the shell that was needed now? And thus Merities began her own silent search for her own freedom, not through rebellion, but through evolution of the spirit. She sought to become better than herself.

Her research has borne fruit but was paused when the Garitia assaulted the Fields of Elysium. Merites jumped at the chance to engage her old foes once again to test her research, but the corruption caught her off guard. Being at the front she was just a bit behind Felix as she saw him become engulfed. In desperation, she used her research to save herself, throwing everything she had into her shield, sacrificing her shell for something stronger. It had some consequences and side effects however as a perversion of herself called Ksel formed around her shield from the fragments of herself.

And the rest they say, is history. One that is not complete yet.

I think it's more because of simplicity than anything else. There's not much difference to someone who lived 4000 years to 7000, it's still too old. Gods damned Kurops.

Gods damned Kurops.

I LOVE Kurops. I'll die for them in order to be admired by the gods so I can be one in the afterlife.
