Use D&D 3.5 Rules.
Forgotten Realms, specifically the Western Heartlands will be the base starting location. Even more specifically Baulder's Gate.
If you've never played D&D, or don't have the materials handy in order to make your character from level 1, here is a good page to generate your scores and such ( http://www.pathguy.com/fr.htm another site is http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35 ). Post your character sheet in full, along with a character Bio.
As far as grids and stuff is, we have microsoft Paint for that.
Hope this will be a fun RP for everyone, and won't turn into a hatefest against me.
All races are available, including monster races for advanced players. Variation familiars are also available for wizards and sorcers. (foxes, squirrles, other small animals that could be used as a familiar.) All 3.5 classes are available as well.
Stats are 5d6, best 3, with minmum scores of 10.
One other little tidbit: My main rule change as a DM is there are no "cross class" skills, except for race or roughish class skills. Sorry if you wanted to be a lock picking barbarian. You'll just have to stick to breaking down the door rather than picking the lock.

More about Quilindra: A newly formed succubus, Quilindra was summoned almost immediatly upon her "birth" by an inexperienced summoner. She was bound improperly, and feeling the unnatural demonic rage at the concept of being bound and controlled, she assaulted and murdered her summoner, and took her form, burning the body in rage before leaving. She's wandered aimlessly since then, occasionally killing things when the urge or boredom takes her. The sensation that something is missing from her existence irritates her and has lead her to go towards the nearest large settlement, Baldur's Gate, to hopefully find what she seems to be missing.

I can do that... If you have monstrous races, they wont be level 1 however. Well except Orcs and Hobgoblins an kobolds and Goblins.

Most monster races have a progression table.
You just have to run through the monster class levels first. Check out savage species.

I mean, cross class doesn't exist. Point buy on skills is not halved for skills that are termed cross class, however skills unavailable to your class in the first place are still unavailable.

Let me restate it I suppose. Rogue skills are still only available to rougish classes, otherwise its open game unless it is a racial skill that is unavailable to you.

Take your time? lol. you could go simple on your character and just do a human fighter. Can't really go wrong with that. Unless you do what I did my first time and try to go into psionics from a fighter base. That was really screwy.

Alright.
I might as well make myself a character too now that I think about it. For a long standing NPC in the group and all. Though since I haven't read your IC, what types of characters will you guys be running? Because I'm unsure of whether to make my npc a rouge, wizard, or cleric. Since I want the player characters (everyone else) to be able to make the kind of character they want, while keeping a balanced group.
