The colors are so dark that it seems to be blakc and grey, sunless black sky (or cloudy grey sky) and such?

Essentially, although it would be cloudy gray. The Shadow world still has a sun, it's just nowhere near as bright.

I wouldn't imagine the Poles then.

@Wolfie: Correct. It's also for that same reason that a lot of Shadows pulled into Terra suffer from heat stroke on multiple occasions.

Let me put it this way Max, the Poles are where people who "disappear" typically end up.

Good point, I hadn't considered that. In that case correct what I had told you before Drummy.

Well, better that these holes in my written universe are pointed out now than later.

Hmm... so my character being grey-skinned, red-eyed and wearing shades would seem out of place.

Not necessarily. The sunglasses could be used for anytime you travel to Terra. The red eyes though I have to wonder about though, since my idea was for Shadows to have no pupils. Eh, considering that your body's composition is meant to mutate slightly upon becoming a Planewalker, colored eyes wouldn't be that unusual.

What do you mean mutate?

BTW, could someone go crazy in the otherworld, and still adapt everything else planewalkers have?

Alright, scratch the red irises for entirely red eyes. Since being a Planewalker brings some mutation, perhaps the skin turned to gray as the eyes became red.

Superman? I don't like it, and don't watch the movies, so there's no references to Superman.

It's a harmless mutation, so perhaps rapid evolution would be a better way to describe it. In being exposed to the opposite world for an extended period of time, your body adapts to the conditions of it. However, this also leaves a permanent mark on you. You're able to efficiently survive in both worlds, but you no longer have the same natural immunities as you once did. For example if a Shadow stayed in Terra for several months and became a Planewalker, he might feel much colder in the Shadow plane and have worse vision in the dark.

Actually, yes. Technically speaking everyone who stays in their opposing plane for months becomes a Planewalker. However since they have no control over themselves or their powers, they're considered too dangerous to risk trying to use, even for experimentation. In addition, the differences are rather subtle, so it could be difficult to discern the insane Planewalkers from just the criminally insane.

And so it begins in Slash's second favorite place in the world. A bar. Not because she likes to drink, but she likes the atmosphere. The darker the better. Where everyone is ready to kill someone as much as look at them, and would do so for half a coin.

/ has an affinity for the underworld and smugglers. You always know were you stand with everyone. And she always makes it clear that if you mess with her, she'll turn you into a smoldering husk.
