Like this aim>cast>damage>hit connects.

Stopping the hit after the cast would be like stopping Mr. Edds boost spell.

To be fair, my characters experiences everything aimed at him this way and litterally can't dodge anything while his rune is active.

A better indication then that as because if you fire said spell which never misses. A person who sees it for the first time will wonder WTF are you doing. It's either making more obvious somebody is going to be shot by a never miss spell or weaken it which you suggested before.

Your choice.

What good would it do by making it more obvious someone's going to be hit by a spell that never misses? I won't change the fact that said person will be hit.

He points his hand like a gun and goes bang. People can't figure out he's going to shoot them? I'm fine with doing that and making it more like a pellet gun.

There are things that can be done before it fires. I can scrap it and make another defensive ability using reverse causality. I don't really need offense, and if I do I'll just pull out a musket.

It's a matter of having time to put a barrier or something like that to block it.

Wouldn't it be just easier to say put it like Aim->Fire->hit->damage? Same thing as a gun, but it's magic, so it's bound to have some sort of effect.

Debatable. It will depend on the target.

Just rewrite and see what you comes up with. Because its current description isn't acceptable in my book anyway.

@Max: Point is however that this spell causes damage before the projectile makes contact, so it's: Aim->damage->fire->hit.
