Trololo. Eh, that was more like "Ha you typed this but I made it mean this" bla bla bla.

And I write all my bios down. Small RP posts I just kinda do, but the longer ones I type up in either word or on here.

Did you start doing that after I recommended it because you accidentally deleted one of your posts?

No. If I remember right, I had done the post on Word, but haven't saved it. When I went to edit it, I deleted it accidentally, and Word was closed.

Name: Meric Chevalier
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Rune: The Hanged Man
Rune Level: Matured
Organization: Paladins

Spells and Abilities:
(All Glyphs only become visible upon activation. They are created by channeling the amount of mana necessary to create a Glyph into the surface/object in which the caster wishes to create the Glyph.)

- Glyph of the Turncoat: A magical Glyph with a diameter of 6 feet that can be placed on the floor beneath either an ally or himself. The barrier of the Glyph rejects all harmful spells and reflects them back at the caster, however, magic used inside of the barrier cannot travel outward either. The Glyph dissolves whenever the person whom it is protecting steps out of it's boundaries.

- Glyph of Imprisonment: A magical Glyph that can be placed on either the floor or any other flat surface. Upon activation, which happens if the Glyph is touched by anything at all, chains shoot out of it, keeping whatever touched the Glyph first chained to it.

- Glyph of Insight:
This Glyph can be placed on literally every object or surface. However, there can only be placed one at a time. When the caster closes his eyes and focuses on his Glyph of Insight, he is able to see everything in front of it. He can however not focus on his own sight and the Glyph's sight at the same time. This Glyph, unlike other Glyphs, remains invisible even after its activation.

- Dead Giveaway Glyph: This Glyph has the shape of a line. For example, it can cover the width of a street, or the width of a doorpost. When someone passes this Glyph, an alarming sound is made inside the caster's head, much like a thought. This Glyph, like the Glyph of Insight, remains invisible even after it is triggered.

- Explosive Glyph: A magical Glyph that can be places on any flat surface with a diameter of at least 3 feet. Upon physical contact, the Glyph will cause an explosion. This Glyph is triggered by anything roughly the weight of a cat or heavier.

- Mystical Insight: By releasing a low-charged burst of mana, he is able to sense what is behind solid objects like walls. His Mystical Insight also allows him to see his inactivated Glyphs at all time.

- Griffon's Vigilance: Whenever an ally is about to be overwhelmed/killed by the enemy, it enables the ability to conjure the Griffon's Vigilance armour and spear. Because the armour is formed from mana, it significantly increases protection against blades and blunt weapons whilst weighing next to nothing. The armour even increases the caster's speed. However, conjuring the set renders all magical abilities useless except for glyphs already placed, and can only be used to protect an ally.

+ Blood Glyphs: These Glyphs require blood to be casted instead of mana. The blood to power these Glyphs comes from the caster himself.

- Glyph of the Toad: This tears a Blood Glyph into the legs, enabling the caster to jump onto a 3 storey high building. This Glyph can only be used twice a day. If it is used more often it will damage the legs to a point where the caster is barely able to walk. The Glyph heals instantly after the jump has been made and the caster has landed.

- Blood Mark: A Blood Glyph is torn into the palm of the hand. Upon contact, the bloody mark of the Glyph is left on the target's body or clothes. As long as the mark is on the target's body, the caster is able to hear everything the target says. However, the target is also able to hear every single thing the caster says. The caster is able to cut off this magical connection, it will however not remove the mark.

Weakness: His Glyphs require physical contact, therefore rendering most of his spells useless if the enemy does not touch them. This means he isn't nearly as effective in large open areas as he is in small confined spaces.

Personality: Selfless and devoted. Does whatever it takes to protect his friends or allies from harm, which is why his most powerful spell is one to protect others. However, he often expects danger where there is none. The cause for this is his fear of losing the people close to him.

History: Meric was always a cheerful and happy kid. At a young age, his parents died in a car accident. This forced Meric to move to Japan, to live with his grandparents. Upon his arrival, he locked himself in his room, only coming out to go to the bathroom and to drink some water. After he had done so for nine days, he suddenly stormed out of his room, cheerful as ever. What his grandparents found in the room was far from reassuring however. Symbols had been drawn all over.
Short after, Meric was recruited by the Paladins, with those same symbols becoming his source for casting magic.

Again, thanks to Max, GoF and Drummy for giving me some ideas. Mostly Max and GoF though, but I feel like I need to put Drummy here as well for his 'Data Gathering' suggestion.

I assume it's the idea of using self blood to do magical effects.

Meh, I always presumed that it was just using blood/life force in general, not just your own.

Using someone else's blood is hardly 'self-sacrifice' now is it? I'm not a damn blood mage.
