My Top Personas

For years I have played MMORPG locally and internationally. I have learned that in-game names are really important and it's up to us to live up to that in-game name's reputation. Unfortunately, most in-game names are duplicates or copycats of other RPG games but that's where I differ. I prefer to be different most of the time

With that said, here are my most popular in-game names and why. This is arranged to the least popular to the most popular.

Coconut007 - I used this name in Freestyle Street Basketball a long time ago

GameSensei - I used this character name in Gaia.

penzie - I used this IGN in Gunbound

Pentium - this name came from a label in a Pentium CPU model. I have used this name once in Tantra (my first game).

Oleander - I started using this because it sounds cool. Oleander came from the poison flower 'oleander', duh! Also it is a rock band's name. I have used this in-game name in my short stay in the game La Tale. A game that didn't want me.

Enataya - The reverse of the name Ayatane (which will be in the list later on) is a female character I made in Gunz. I can pretty much say I am good at GunZ? or am I? Or do I lag too much? Since GunZ is p2p and my connection has a slow upload rate, some people find it unfair competing with my Enataya. This is the least popular because besides lagging, my Enataya can't handle a server with over 8 players.

Ayatane - From the game, Ar Tonelico, it is my most unoriginal name. Ayatane is a samurai warrior in the game and I just find the name quite fascinating so I used it on the game that I stayed 3rd longest in "Talisman Online". Ayatane became popular because of the guild Shintaro and because this character is one of the top monks out there. The only downside to this IGN is that I never used it ever again.

Soulian - This is my most used but not the most popular. This is also my first IGN in all mmorpgs. Soul - meaning... well, soul or spirit and Ian from my name Adrian = Soulian. Soulian, most of the time, is a mage. I never really wanted to become a mage, I guess I was forced to making Soulian a mage because my cousins and brother already have chosen the other characters in Tantra. So there I was, a mage. Soulian is most popular locally because besides being the guild leader of Wrath_Of_God, he also became the top 1 male mage in one of the factions in the Kriya server. I always try to make Soulian an INT - fair HP build. That's why when I use Soulian in any game, I always try to go for magic. I also used this IGN in games like Scions of Fate, 7 Hearts, FLYFF (local), RAN (local) and Perfect World (local). Soulian is more popular locally because after a one year absence in Tantra, I came back playing locally in Perfect World and some people recognize me in-game. In Perfect World, Soulian is also high level mage.

Harrow - Influenced by the Magic The Gathering card "Harrow" and my 2nd name being Harold (sounded alike), I chose this IGN in my 2nd longest played game "Endless Online". The funny story is, I never really wanted Harrow as IGN, I wanted Soulian. But for some freak of nature, that name was already taken. So Harrow was born. Harrow became popular ultimately because of the success of Kingdom Hearts guild and his top 40 something ranking in EO. Harrow is most popular, because whenever I tried to change my nickname, everyone who knows me would still call me Harrow. Besides EO, I also used this nickname in Wonderland Online (in which joining a video contest also made me popular) and Audition (apparently). I try to avoid using Harrow nowadays because I normally use it on games that are anime-ish. Right now, I don't feel like playing anymore anime games.

You should know that
- I always think about my class thoroughly, but 50% of the time, I go for mage, hence, making the chances of seeing me as Soulian go higher
- In choosing my class, I always pick the less picked class. Most games are populated by Assassins or Agility type classes and less mages. Meaning, it makes the chances of me picking Soulian as IGN.
- Most of the time, the 2nd most unchosen class is the tanker. If I did choose a tanker, I might not use Harrow as IGN.
- Future names I'm considering: SoulJynx, Saruin, Ixidor
