Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory HELPFUL LINKS

Most helpful guide: (with guides for each class, maps and weapons... etc...)
http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/enemyterritory/guide.shtml
Note: this guide is extremely helpful and will help you out in your strategy. Reading it before playing should be a MUST

Online game documentation:
http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/enemyterritory/guide.shtml

Hopefully more players from our community would want to play this game.

This is the server I usually play on, the IP is on the upper left of the screen, you can't miss it:
>>>THE BUNKER<<< server
http://www.etbunker.com

For beginners I recommend the server: MAJIN BEGINNERS server
Another good server is the: NO DOWNLOAD/XP SAVE server

========================================
IMPORTANT:

If you lag in the game, press ` (it's below your ESC) type the following:

\rate 25000

then hit enter

Or you can also do this by going to the system options and click the right internet connection for you (that option is the one at the bottom, you can't miss it). A 25000 rate is equal to a DSL connection, the default is 5000 which is ISDN if I'm not mistaken.

I suck too when I started but you'll get a hang of it. here's my tips on making your gaming easier:

>change your sensitivity to the rate you are comfortable with. Personally I just use a lower sensitivity than the default (5).

To change your sensitivity type this on your console:

/sensitivity <amount>

>Try to level up first

Killing is one thing, being helpful is another. Medics and Field ops supply the team with med packs and ammo. These classes are easy to use for you are a support to your team. But you will notice that pros usually use medics because they have high hp and can heal themselves. Try to reach the highest level for a class that you are comfortable with.

If you like the covert ops and you manage to level it up to max, you'll have an easier time aiming the sniper.

>use easy to use guns

The Soldier's Panzer is easy to use, just point and shoot and it can blow your opponents away. The sub machine guns which are usable to all classes except covert ops are the ones you should train on.

>use special abilities

Medics can heal, a covert ops can use satchel grenade, provide smoke grenade and steal your opponent's uniform (hold F on a corpse that's not moving). Covert ops can call an airstrike with their smoke marker and can also call an airstrike. Use your binocs (press B and hold) then click on a place you want to arty. (be careful though, you may want to put it on a place where you won't hit your teammates.

>Aim for the head

Practice this one. As you get familiar with the maps you'll know where the head will be when somebody passes by. Keep playing to get familiar with the maps and eventually you'll pop up those helmets.

>Teamplay

Most players are in it for the kill, but a real player should be in it for the win. I know by experience how many players are really that good but they are bad teamplayers.
