Kumi Nakura was hardlya sentimental person, but she still found herself reminiscing about her time at Mishima Academy when she entered it for what was sure to be the final time. It seemed that no matter how badly she tried to shake the memories of god-awful food, stellar parties, and interesting club activities, they remained - in fact, those attempts at forgetting only made everything that much more prominent.

When she crossed the threshold and entered the courtyard, her thoughts immediately changed to something else entirely. The woman sat and steeled herself for what was to come with a slight huff and some toying with her ribbon. Her mother would likely be angry at the very thought of having a dropout in the family, while the registrar - the more immediate interaction - was sure to result in disappointment for both parties. At the very least, Rei already knew, so he could judge with that silent expression of his...

For once, Kumi didn't immediately notice someone's eyes upon her. A passing student craned her head and whispered something borderline inaudible, which caused the young woman to immediately look down at herself. Of course, it only made sense - she wasn't wearing her uniform, and so the violet dress and white flower she wore were not only out of place, but forbidden based on the school's dress code.

A sharp sigh escaped her at the very thought. Would the registrar even see her if she wasn't in an appropriate state, regardless as to what she was there to do? Would she be allowed to see the club rooms and say goodbye to her peers, even if she intended to remain within the city?

"Great. Just... great."

She murmured, slouching against the bench she had claimed as her own.

Shockingly enough University at Mishima was a completely different beast from High School at Mishima despite the fact that the University facilities were located on the other half of the building. He really should have been expecting things to be different as college was supposed to a different beast altogether, but still there was a level of adjustment that took him awhile to get used to. He was only in his first year at the University so maybe it was just normal to feel like that. Still at least for awhile that led to a Dominique that rushed to transition between classes. He didn't even have enough time to enjoy himself, but that was about to change.

"I have an hour or so until my next class so I should enjoy it~" He chirped to himself as he made his way for the Courtyard with his messenger bag in sync with his steps. It was around Noon judging from the way the sun's light cast a shadow on the various trees in the courtyard. Well there was that and the fact that all the clocks in the building clearly said that it was twelve pm. His next class, which while it was one of his favorites, wasn't until one in the afternoon on this day. He didn't usually was so much much time to kill. Still, he wasn't going to waste it as he held his thick sketchbook at his side while he walked.

He was going to keep on walking until he found himself a table or bench to sit at, but instead he stopped mid-stride when his gaze caught sight of something, or rather someone, that definitely wasn't a usual sight. Sitting there in a bench to herself was a woman wearing a violet dress and white flower. That definitely wasn't part of the school's dress code from what he remembered. Even he didn't go too far out of his way to go modify his uniform aside from the feather earrings he wore all the time. Was she daring or did she not really care? He wasn't sure which was which, but what he did know for sure was that it was rude to stare.

With that thought in mind, Dominique averted his gaze and continued his walk through the Courtyard. There was a certain skip to his step as he went about his business, but that certainly didn't last for long. There was a rock laying hidden from his sight in the blades of grass and well naturally his right foot hit it and he was sent off balance. He was rather fine apart from some grass stuck in the bangs of his hair despite falling on his face. It certainly helped matters that he merely fell in some grass, but that wasn't his main concern. Where had his sketchbook ran off to? Getting up with a start, He frantically looked left and right until finally he caught sight of it. It had flown out of his grasp and landed at the feet of the woman in the violet dress when he fell.

"Can you pick that up for me?" He called out as he started walking towards her bench.

As Kumi sat there, everything became an illusion and faded away into blank white space. The only things that she knew to exist were herself and the bench - not the people, not the courtyard, and not concepts like time or anything of the sort. It was almost like her spirit was trying to leave her body piece-by-piece, but then again... It was too attached to that lovely doll to do anything of the sort! No matter how ethereal it was, a soul without a body could never be beautiful, because others couldn't see it.

That just begged the question, though: were ghosts real? Were the stories of The Nothingness Curse actually rooted in something, or was it just another one of the rumours that had been spreading around at work? The heiress had never really encountered anyone with that issue, and if she had she tended to ignore them because they were boring people; come to think of it, Rei might have had that Curse - but he smiled every now and again, so it wasn't possible...

So lost in space and time, Kumi didn't even notice someone taking her in. It was only when the boy dropped his sketchbook that the model finally blinked her navy eyes and came to, nodding as if to shake away the thoughts that had been plaguing her. The world was still as it was, after all - and that meant that she would have to finish that dropout at some point in the near future.

Bending down, she picked it up - only to actually take in the person that had addressed her with an air of mild annoyance. When she stood, Kumi didn't bother to take in his art as she normally might have - but instead focused on his cowlick as though it was some kind of antenna. The grass stuck in the boy's hair certainly didn't help, but it was slightly more passable since he'd fallen.

"Here, but... Your hair..."

She mused, reaching out with her free hand to smooth it down - only to have it pop up a second after. A hearty sigh escaped her full lips then. This. Meant. War.
