PYPIN, WILD SPACE
Following the alignments of Morellia, Trian and the subsequent negotiations on Brochiib, the Grand General was most pleased with how swiftly the Stratocratic Defence Pact was being brought into the fold. He pondered the times as he travelled from Morellia to Pypin, most concerned with how the time would soon be upon him for the Grand General to lay a document on the table of the Supreme Chancellor, informing him of the new developments and how they could indeed be profitable for all parties concerned. However, it was not time for that yet, the time at present was for the betterment of the Stratocratic Defence Pact. Trianii Space was almost entirely bound under the Stratocratic Defence Pact, with only Perin, Fibuli and Ekibo left to ascertain under the pact. Due to the sector's standing as a freestanding subsector of the galaxy, it was most certainly assured that the entirety of Trianii Space would be able to self-sustain, meaning that almost all of the funding given to the Black Battalion as per the Industrial Sponsorship Agreement would be profit. Rising to a further 120% of income for the Black Battalion that would see it almost easily capable of furthering itself without requiring complicated trade arrangements and potential embargoes.
Still, he quietly seethed over the fact that the New Republic had publicly gone against the Black Battalion, despite previous close ties between the two groups. Whilst he seethed however, he wondered how different the New Republic really were from the previous Sith Empire. Both came from nothing and used third-party groups to help see them to power, yet once that power had been seized, previous allies were cast off and left to rot and fade into obscurity whilst they prospered as the main galactic power. The truth is, Elias had never once considered any sort of formal agreement to become an active member of the New Republic, due to being informed that he would have to renounce his ties to the Black Battalion, something he had initiated many years ago. As he arrived on the surface of Pypin, he knew where his destiny lay, with the hearts and minds of the Black Battalion. |
