Most matches allow you to switch Pokemon at any time, though some don't but switching has it's own rules. When your switching in a new Pokemon for another you can only call out 1 attack on that round. The trainer has to be fast while switching, if the Trainer isn't , the Pokemon could be hit before the switch, so sometimes your Pokemon might take an extra hit before the switch. Switching is important in matches like "3 Pokemon, 1 Elimination Matches" and others like it where you can switch Pokemon at will but if any one of your Pokemon gets KO'd then you lose! |
