Weather
The first great snowfall of a few days prior has coated the lands in a shining white that many would say is beauty embodied. The trees glimmer and chime with ice on their branches, and the evergreens are more vibrant and lively looking than at any other time in the year. The skies are cloudless, and with nothing to insulate the earth, temperatures drop low enough to be dangerous for long amounts of exposure at night.

The ice that has taken over the water has finally begun to thin; once it has melted entirely, normal naval activity can resume, as most ships are incapable of traversing such dangerous obstacles as enormous hull-piercing shards of ice. Most ships...

One of the most unique properties of the Pokemon Kingdoms is the Character Class system. As this is a time of far more turmoil than that of most Pokemon RPs, one where a character must fend for themselves in all things, various occupations have been established to help you do that. Upon sign-up, you will choose one of the three classes. Depending upon which you choose, the events surrounding your starting the RP will change, as will your intended goals, items that you will be given to start out with, and general resources. The classes are as follows.
Vassal - As a vassal, once you have chosen your country of origin you will be assigned to a Liege (normally an NPC), to whom you answer. From your Liege you will receive your starting equipment and your starting Pokemon. As you follow orders given by your Liege, you rank will increase and he or she will reward you accordingly.
Outlaw - A notable departure from the Vassal class, as an outlaw you will start with a set of items more useful for one on the run, and you will be made to steal a Pokemon in your Sign-Up RP. Unlike the vassal, an Outlaw will not necessarily need to report to a higher power. Your growth in power and infamy will be dependant upon yourself, but there is the option of reporting to a Council of Thieves, where you can be given information on particularly good targets. A portion will be paid to the Council, of course, but their own rewards will make up for it.
Vigilante - Neither an outlaw nor a vassal, Vigilante's are more of a mercenary class. Your starting equipment will be a mix of the two, multi-purpose and basic, and your starter Pokemon will be decided by a variety of factors. Similarly to Outlaws, Vigilante don't report to anyone, but can do deeds on their own for fame and fortune, or report to a higher power for better tips and bigger deals.
Pirate - Scourge of those who ship things over seas, and deadliest foes found upon the water, Pirates are a combination of Vassal and Vigilante, serving the Dread Pirate for her ideals and deeds, but with all the freedom to steal and kill possessed by an Outlaw. They can, and do, still operate on land, but are most commonly assigned to vessels on the sea.
Pirates, Outlaws, and Vigilantes have the option of having armor from the start of their story. You may choose two separate pieces of armor, either leather or chain, to own from the beginning. You may not choose Plate armor of any sort.)
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, your class can change. For example, if a Vassal disobeys his Liege, they're immediately disowned/fired and are a Vigilante (or an Outlaw if they broke a low while they disobeyed). Vigilantes can swear themselves to a Liege if they like, (Outlaws can too, but they'll be trusted slower for obvious reasons). Any class can change to any other class.
Changing your class, however, will erase all of the progress you made on your other class.
A knight is sworn to valor. His heart knows only virtue. His blade defends the helpless. His might upholds the weak. His word speaks only truth. His wrath undoes the wicked.
