Welcome to Pokemon Kingdoms!
The first great snowfall of a few days prior has coated the lands in a shining white that many would say is beauty embodied. The trees glimmer and chime with ice on their branches, and the evergreens are more vibrant and lively looking than at any other time in the year. The skies are cloudless, and with nothing to insulate the earth, temperatures drop low enough to be dangerous for long amounts of exposure at night.
The Battle in Belfhaste Harbor is about to commence; all interested parties should report post-haste
The ice that has taken over the water has finally begun to thin; once it has melted entirely, normal naval activity can resume, as most ships are incapable of traversing such dangerous obstacles as enormous hull-piercing shards of ice. Most ships...

The era that the Isle of Innisfree and its seething Kingdoms exist in is most equivalent to that of the early second millennium of Earth's history, before the advent of gun powder. Despite the efforts put into enforcing law upon a chaotic world, force of body and will are the true rulers. For reasons largely unknown, King Cuanan and Queen Ruad have been in disagreement for years, with seemingly no provocation after a long friendship. Men and women on both sides of the border grow anxious as one side seems to be gearing up for war, and the other remains largely tolerant of rumors and half-truths.
With the growing confusion, the number of outlaws has exploded to take advantage of the chaos. Piracy and theft has reached a record high, and rumors that the outlaws are organizing themselves run as rampant as those of possible war. Just as deeply embroiled in the nasty affair as humans, Pokemon are being swept into it, captured for use against their captor's enemy, employed as spies and assassins. If either race is to survive, a balance must be met. Between humans and Pokemon, between Caledonia and Lascia, and between the King and Queen. Only the people themselves can bring about so drastic a change...
As with any RP, there are certain rules to be followed in the course of RPing. These apply to your in-character situations, rather than what you do elsewhere on the forum. This implies that there is a difference between how you act in and out of character. When in character, you must not act on knowledge you know from a source that didn't directly interact with your character. If you find out something from another player over IM or PM, don't act on it. You will be made to change it to suit your character's actual knowledge level. Other rules to follow include...
- You may not control anyone (PC or NPC) other than yourself under any circumstances (except in your RP Sample).
- You may not control your Pokemon's actions in battle (apart from vocals and nods or whatnot).
- You may not see/hear/sense something that your updater did not provide for you.
- You may not spawn your own Pokemon/Items/NPCs/anything.
- You must use at least four (4) complete English sentences in each RP post.
Please remember at all times that this is not the modern world. Electronics, computers, cars, all things like that are not present. Truly immersing yourself in this medieval world may be difficult, but we hope profusely that you'll find the efforts well worth it.

A knight is sworn to valor. His heart knows only virtue. His blade defends the helpless. His might upholds the weak. His word speaks only truth. His wrath undoes the wicked.
