Weather
The first great snowfall of a few days prior has coated the lands in a shining white that many would say is beauty embodied. The trees glimmer and chime with ice on their branches, and the evergreens are more vibrant and lively looking than at any other time in the year. The skies are cloudless, and with nothing to insulate the earth, temperatures drop low enough to be dangerous for long amounts of exposure at night.

The Battle in Belfhaste Harbor is about to commence; all interested parties should report post-haste

The ice that has taken over the water has finally begun to thin; once it has melted entirely, normal naval activity can resume, as most ships are incapable of traversing such dangerous obstacles as enormous hull-piercing shards of ice. Most ships...

Age:

22

Gender:

Male

Country:

Class:

Vassal [[size=1]Outlaw pretending to be a Vassal[/size] ]

Liege:

Sir Reynard Fallkirk
  • Starting Town:
Chosen Weapon:

Shortbow & Arrows

Appearance:

Posted Image
  • This is basically what Gustavus looks like, although he doesn’t have the knife, bandana, or gloves, nor does he have any tattoos. Other than that, he wears a pair of sandals on his feet. And that’s basically it. As for the necklace he wears, he does have one, even though it symbolizes the sun. The Blue Moon Alliance requires everyone to wear a necklace like that, as a backwards way of representing the moon.
Personality:
  • Gustavus, an elegant, yet refined young fellow who’s kind at heart, but tends to be a bit stubborn and over confident. Overall, he’s very smart, very nice, and somewhat of a quiet person. Although he contains some athletic qualities, by no means is he an athlete. He enjoys working out and being fit, and he is incredibly fit, but he doesn’t compete in competitions, or participate in sports. He is also noted for his love for Pokémon. Oh, and his short temper.

Gustavus likes to think before he acts, and he’s very careful with whatever decision he makes. Sometimes he can be a bit too careful. And with every decision he makes, he has to think it out logically and strategically, as he’s a rational person, a thinker instead of a feeler, if you will. But that’s not to say he doesn’t let his emotions come into play very often. Although he tries not to let things get to him, his mind can be easily manipulated by anything that flat out angers him.

The problem with being a thinker is that, yes, he is book smart, but in street smarts, he couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag. He’s a complete and total spaz. Despite this, he uses his logic to get him out of situations, so what he lacks in street smarts can be made up for in book smarts. Because of this, one could also say he is practical instead of intuitive. However, he has such a strong sense of wit that everything he does is a bit spontaneous, and well, intuitive for the most part.

Gustavus is an introvert, and at the same time, an extrovert. He enjoys his alone time, where he can think and plot, and do other things that he enjoys. But like all people, he does need social interaction in his life. But Gustavus doesn’t have any personal preferences. And with his Pokémon by his side, he won’t really be alone. However, he might get sudden mood swings and get depressed after thinking about his incipient wife, Beverly.

If anything, you could say Natsume is a structured person. He’s very neat, and highly organized. He doesn’t like it when something is out of place, and it annoys him to no end. Without order and structure, everything would be a mess.

Hands down, Gustavus has a Type B personality. He is not competitive whatsoever,. However, when he wants something, he wants it. But he doesn’t compete just for the sake of competition. He doesn’t want to rule the world just because his best friend became governor of California [ if this were present day, which I know it is not ]. He wants to rule the world because he thirsts for power. But why he thirsts for power is hard to say. Always having to follow the orders of others, never getting freedom for anything, never getting to live a normal life for the most part. He’s just gone mad, in a non-psychotic way, really. And so the more Gustavus lives, the more he desires to rule the world. But he sets limits, knowing that he’ll start with his liege, then go on to the Alliance, and then Caledonia, Lasica, Byzan, and then eventually the world. He’s not completely irrational.

Call Gustavus a bit old world, but Gustavus doesn’t interact well with Tauruses. So he’s a bit superstitious. But according to astrological signs, Tauruses and Virgos are supposed to get along, both being of the Earth Element. However, every Taurus Gustavus has come in contact, Gustavus has hated. It’s something about their personality that Gustavus doesn’t like about them. Either that, or they’re just all annoying as hell.

Gustavus is arachnaphobic. [Give me a Spinarak as a choice and I WILL hunt you down XD ] He saw a Spinarak once and just started freaking out. Maybe it was because of the way it looked, or spoke, but something about any type of spider just scares him to the point that he won’t move or talk until someone gets it out of his sight. Sometimes he even gets nightmares about spiders. And he’s so terrified of them that he can’t even wack a spider, because he doesn’t want to make any contact with it.

For some odd reason, Gustavus is also necrophobic, afraid of death. He still to this day doesn’t know that his parents or dead, and he never saw anybody die, really. But sometimes he has trouble sleeping at nigh, thinking about death. And its not just the death of him, but the death of him AND others. And having his girlfriend disappear doesn’t make it any better. But basically, he will spend some time alone thinking about death, and it will freak him out.

Gustavus has always wished that he could talk to Pokémon. Ever since he started taking a liking to Pokémon, he thought it would be really cool to be able to communicate with them. Sure, Pokémon can understand humans, but it doesn’t work vice versa.
Another wish that Gustavus has, is that he would love to be psychic. As a child, the most popular superpowers among his peers were being able to fly, super strength, and super speed. But not for Gustavus, he would rather be Psychic any day than any of the other superpowers. Gustavus would be able to levitate items, levitate himself, communicate telepathically, read minds, tell the future, become invisible, and teleport. What’s funny about this is, is that some people say that Gustavus does seem to resemble something of a psychic. Whenever he gets really tensed or stressed, he meditates.

Some notable things that Gustavus likes to do in his spare time is plot, as plotting is his whole means for this journey. He also enjoys spending time working out, as he is incredibly fit. Even as an evil villain, he does have a liking to the ladies, like normal, non evil person would, too. But what he likes to do the most is meditate, to relax and clear his mind. It’s something he has always done, and whenever he gets stressed, is the first thing he turns to.

Some notable things about Gustavus’ personality in a nutshell is that he enjoys being fit, and he is incredibly witty. He can use his logic to outsmart just about anybody. He also enjoys sarcasm, and witty, possibly rude/funny remarks. One thing that you could consider him to be is an actor. As he plots to rule the world, he needs to assume minor acting roles in his life, and so he has gained the ability to act really well, like a true thespian. One more thing about his is that he’s neat, clean, calm, and organized. And sophisticated as well. But the most notable quality you could sense about him after one conversation with him is that he’s overconfident, and cocky, about everything he does. But to him, arrogance is no crime. And basically, that’s Gustavus in a nutshell.
Biography:

| I | //~ [ P ] \ rophecy of the moon //>
  • Many moons ago, a young man by the name of Augustus Caliban, and a pretty maiden by the name of Arabelle Mare, gave birth to a baby boy, of which they named Gustavus. The full moon was there to greet the birth, and the parents worried that this would symbolize grief and horror in their lives to come. But regardless, the newly wedded couple raised their son Gustavus in the remote land of Byzan, a region much like Caledonia and Lasica. They grew up in the quaint village of Haku. It was a tight knit village, where everyone knew each other. They all lived a simple life, and Gustavus’ parents had the career as the village’s dairymen. They owned a small Miltank farm, and provided milk and cheese to the villagers. On the farm, there was one garden, infested with Combee, and in this one garden, honey was produced. Not only did the family produce dairy, but they provided for the village’s honey needs as well. The family had always meant to clear out the garden of the mysterious Combee, but had just never got around to it. Anyway, life on the farm was not a memorable part of Gustavus’ life, for at the age of four, what the Caliban’s had feared had now come true.

A stray Ursaring had found its way onto the family’s farm. Obviously, he were attracted to the honey made by the accursed Combee that the family always thought would impose trouble for them. Ursaring killed all the Miltank, and destroyed the family’s house, almost killing Gustavus in the process of all this. What feared them, and at the same time relieved them, the most, was that the Ursaring had an image of a Full Moon on his body. The family knew this was all because Gustavus was born under a full moon, and that Gustavus almost died because of that as well. But the family had thought that this encounter meant that the curse was over, and their lives would be find from now on. However, they were wrong. The Curse of the Full Moon would strike again, and this time, bring down not only the family, but the entire village of Haku as well.

Time passed, and the Caliban’s had restored their simple means of shelter into almost the same size that it had originally been. And as for the farm, they didn’t bother to domesticate new Miltank, and decided to instead plant vegetables and fruits and make a giant garden. It was the most beautiful part of the entire village. But it didn’t last for long. Shortly after the Caliban family had finally found their homeostasis, a team of evil villains came to wreak havoc in the village. They called themselves “The Blue Moon Alliance”. Ironic, no? That this was their second encounter with a “full moon”, and the second full moon in a month is called a “Blue Moon”. Anyway, what exactly was “The Blue Moon Alliance”? Well, no one at the time was sure, but it was an alliance of people who had no life, and banded together to do the bidding of their leader, Wane Gibbous. Notice anything strange? Waning, a term used to describe the moon when it is losing luminosity, and gibbous, a term used to describe one of the phases of the moons.

Gustavus was about six when the Alliance took over their village. They made them worship their leader, and perform odd tasks. They were now slaves of this strange organization. They were trying to see who could be recruited as members of their team. Mr. And Mrs. Caliban tried their best to appease this alliance, for the sake of Gustavus. And it worked, as The Blue Moon decided to recruit the three of them to their team, leaving the rest of the village as slaves, just like how they were. Eventually, the entire region ended up as slaves to the alliance of losers, as they somehow gained power, rising from nothingness. Only the best were recruited, and then unexpectedly, the BMA left the village, and went on to do this with several other cities and villages, until they had recruited more than enough people. But even though the Caliban’s were recruited, life was still not easy. They had to perform grunt jobs and what not, at the risk of death if they failed. And them, as well as all the other families who were recruited, were sent to live life on the Alliance’s secret base camp.
| II | //~ [ H ] \ ome, home on the base //>
  • As you can well imagine, life as a recruit must have been difficult for Mr. And Mrs. Caliban, who at this point in time, were still fairly young, in their mid twenties. However, as for Gustavus, since he was about five years old, he didn’t know that there was an easier way to live life then doing everything he’s told and to be watched under close surveillance twenty-four/seven. It took him a little while to get used to the idea at first, but not that long. Both Augustus and Arabelle tried to secretly teach Gustavus that these men and women were evil, but Gustavus just couldn’t grasp the idea of right and wrong, and sadly, never will until later in his life, when there’s nothing he can do about what he’d made of himself.

Life on the Villainous base was almost like a normal life. Children attended school, where they learned to interact with Pokémon, and learned that The Blue Moon Alliance is always right, which made it all the more difficult for Gustavus’ parents to teach him right and wrong. Other things they learned were things that subconsciously molded their minds into evil masterminds. And any body, whether it be parent or child, who disobeyed any leading Alliance member, were instantly put to death. They were obviously a force to be reckoned with.

The actual base camp itself was actually rather nice, surprisingly. Each family had it’s own cottage equipped with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room. They had no kitchen because the Alliance supplied each family with just enough food each night, to ensure they were getting proper nutrition and such. They wanted to make sure everyone was healthy for their missions. All the cots were arranged so that between each cot was substantial room for each family to uphold their privacy. After school, children were allowed to meet with school friends on the hills of the base, or in the meadow, or even in the Secret Garden, so long as they didn’t leave the base grounds, which were well hidden in the outskirts of one of the forests of Byzan.

Gustavus grew up with a normal life. He made friends in school, and would spend many a day out in the meadow playing army with school friends. This game was highly encouraged by the school, and with a twist to some of the rules and such, was helping to train the children into young Blue Moon Executives. Gustavus, a natural born leader, would often lead his “troop” and use the meadow Pokémon to his advantage, and always knowing the best hiding spots. But Gustavus always thought it strange that his parents were always being put to work, and he wasn’t, and that his parents were always being watched, and he wasn’t. Well, the Alliance very discreetly watched over the lands the children used to play in, to see who had the leadership skills they were looking for in new members. Every action the children made were more important than the actions made by the adults. Too bad the children didn’t know about this, though.

There was one specific memory of Gustavus’ life that he will always remember. At the age of eight, he was playing army in the meadow, when he happened upon a Teddiursa. He immediately used this Pokémon as an asset to his team. You see, him and his troop were in a jam where their enemy were surrounding them, and they had no place to go. He remembers the shame him and his fellow troopers felt, as they knew they were about to lose. He specifically remembers how he had raised his hand to surrender, but in the corner of his eye noticed a Teddiursa. So instead of raising his hand, he merely lifted it up toward his head, scratching at an imaginary itch. Sweat poured from his head. He remembers this all too well. He remembers how the Teddiursa had given Gustavus a very toothy grin, as if wanting to help him. And then Gustavus pretended to start crying. He was signaling Teddiursa without speaking, and Teddiursa realized that by pretending to cry, he wanted him to use Fake Tears. Distracted by the sounds of the cute, innocent Teddiursa, the enemy took their eyes of Gustavus’ team for a few seconds. His troop very confused by the tears. Then Gustavus fell to the ground, and Teddiursa used Faint Attack. The enemy weren’t hit badly by the Faint Attack, but as they fell, Gustavus signaled for his troop to follow them, and they went and surrounded their enemy, now having the upper hand. And they won the game.

Later that night, Teddiursa followed Gustavus home, who begged his parents for him to keep him. It was encouraged, after all, for children to have Pokémon at their disposal, and Gustavus was the only Pokémon deprived child at the moment. But just the fact that the Pokémon was a Teddiursa, who evolved into Ursaring, was what made his parents say “no!” They forbade it, and Gustavus was angry and flustered, but there was nothing he could do. However, the Alliance had seen him use his quick wit to win the game of army in that afternoon, and that was when his fate had been sealed by the Alliance. He didn’t need a Pokémon to arise to greatness.

  • Upon Gustavus’ thirteenth birthday, the BMA were having a ceremony, and invited all the children and parents, for they were going to choose their new Alliance Members. There weren’t as many adult members, as they were old and not as used to their system. They knew the difference between right and wrong. And that was precisely why The Caliban’s [excluding Gustavus] were not a member of this team. And you’d think that they would be happy about this. But in truth, they weren’t. They knew that they weren’t just going to release all of the non-members all willy-nilly, especially considering they knew of the Alliance’s plans. They knew something bad was going to happen.

Anyway, speaking of plans, at this point in time, none of the children knew what this Alliance was actually planning. Some of the more clever adults knew their goals, but not many. They knew they were evil, but they didn’t know what they stood for, what they were planning to do, etc. The children didn’t know either, but because they didn’t know what wrong was, thought of them more as a government than anything. A monarchy, to be exact. Wane Gibbous being their King, and every other person part of the King’s protection team. They didn’t really put much more thought into this, since they were still young.

Anyway, for about three months, Gustavus and everybody else heard about what the Alliance called “The Judgement Ceremony”. All they knew about it specifically though was that the Alliance was going to point out the most worthy possible recruits. They didn’t know the fate that would befall all of the losers, nor did they know that they were ACTUALLY going to recruit new members. In fact, they already thought, since they were brought aboard the base, that they were already recruits/members. But they were just the most worthy candidates, and now they were picking the worthiest candidates.

On that day, every person was sitting in a seat in rows 41, columns of 34, not sitting near anyone that they knew personally. They didn’t want interruptions while they were making their big announcements. They listed the names of all the people they were recruiting, and as a name was said, they had to go to the front of the room they were in, and get their diploma. They divided all the candidates into age groups, and further divided that into four sectors. The last name of each sector was the leader of their group. In total, there weren’t many people who became part of the time.

When it came time for the 12-14 age group, sector X, all the kids were killed who passed, and when they announced the sector leader, they called Gustavus Caliban. Sweat poured down Gustavus’ face as he raced to the front with excitement and determination. But his parents were not happy. They wanted to cry out and scream, but they held back, for fear of instant death. They knew they were never going to see him again.
For all of the people who were recruited, they were sent to another secret base. What they didn’t know was that for all that didn’t make it, were executed after they left. Many tried to escape, some were successful. Rumor has it that either Mr. Or Mrs. Caliban was one of the survivors, but no one is sure which one, nor if the rumor is true. But Gustavus doesn’t even know that they were supposed to be executed. He never saw his parents again, and thought that one day he would be with them again. No one told him that they were supposedly killed.

  • At the age of fourteen, Gustavus and his “troop” of three other men and two girls performed odd grunt jobs, although they still weren’t considered “grunts”. Under Gustavus’ leadership skills, his team always did very well when it came time to judge their performance. And although the tasks they had to perform didn’t seem that sinister, they were teaching them to become villains. Each new task was more and more vile, slowly getting Gustavus and the others used to the barbaric things they had to do. One day it was tripping a little kid, the next it was getting a woman to go have a few drinks at a bar, and then it gets to the point where they’re pickpocketing, or stealing food. It wasn’t until they were first told to steal someone’s Pokémon that Gustavus started to realize that what they were doing wasn’t something that was looked up at among the citizens of Byzan. This is when he first realized the difference between right and wrong. But sadly, there was nothing Gustavus could do about it, but try as hard as he could to appease his comrades who were of a higher rank than him.

And Gustavus did do his best, for he was afraid of death, and torture, and many other things that he thought he could avoid by being as evil as he could. And his hard work payed off, as his best friend from his sector was promoted to the leader, as Gustavus became an official Grunt, along with seven other people that the Alliance thought would become powerful members. At first Gustavus did not want to be a grunt, but he couldn’t exactly say no. And he was already fifteen years of age. He was going to have to make a living somehow, as he is getting older. Considering that he was well liked by everyone he knew in this sinister alliance, he thought he should seize these opportunities to make something of himself.

Slowly, he rose through the ranks. He went from Grunt, to Underling, to Elite, and then to Super Elite. And this was all a time length of three years. In fact, he was the fifth youngest Super Elite that the Alliance had, as an eighteen year old, rounding nineteen. It eventually came to the point that Gustavus didn’t care he was doing wrong things. All that mattered to him was that he was good at his job, and he enjoyed it. He had never once even come close to being caught. And he liked the adventure, the excitement, and the money of course. Even though he was forced against his will to join, he kept some of his pickpocket money and stuff like that. He was smart. If he made a total of $42, he’d say he had made $30. And in one pickpocketing, one usually would rope up a total of $15-$20, so he was really clever at his money keeping scheme. He truly had a knack for evil, even if he wasn’t a mischievous person to begin with. Just clever.

Around his nineteenth birthday, The Blue Moon Alliance had wanted to expand their evil empire over seas. And they chose five men (and one woman) to lead a team of nine members overseas to expand their empire. All the leaders were already executives, the highest position you could become in this Alliance. However, to be an executive was basically a whole class on its own. There were lower executives, middle executives, and High executives. The leaders Wane Gibbous chose were mainly middle executives. But Gustavus was still just a Super Elite, and was astounded when he heard of his new adventure. It turns out that they were promoting him to a low executive position.
| V | //~ [ T ] \ he birthday boy’s peril; and the moon’s plague //>
  • Three weeks before his birthday, Gustavus rounded up his crew and set sail for Caledonia. They sailed for quite a long time, with little food and not much to do in the department of entertainment. All they had were each other’s company. And not to mention that Gustavus only knew one of the members of his crew before they made the six different teams. Gustavus obviously made him his first mate. His name was Tobi Enzyme. And he shortly made friends with one of the females on the ship, Beverly Amelia. Everyone else he only became acquaintances with.

Along their journey, Gustavus became better and better friends with Beverly, better with each passing day. Eventually, it came to the point where after docking into their destination, they were going to marry. They loved each other greatly. And they were around the same age too, only a six month difference.

Three weeks into their journey, and they were very close to the shore. They could see the shore of which they would dock on. They got cocky, and were speaking of how they had basically already made it, and that they were safe now, etc. And on that night, which was Gustavus’ birthday, you could see the full moon shining in the distance. Both Gustavus and Beverly had found it rather romantic, and not even Gustavus had remembered the curse of the Full Moon that had destroyed his family and friends twice already. And just while everyone was going to sleep that night, a storm brewed. And it was deadly, too.

The waves became rough, and skies were dark. Everyone on the ship gathered close together, scared of what would become of them. As a gust of wind ripped through the sail, Beverly grasped on to Gustavus, scared for her life. The churning waves crashed up against the side of the boat, and one of the wooden boards fell off. Then the boat just got destroyed completely as what appeared to be a hurricane swept everyone away from each other. Just as Gustavus reached for Beverly, they were torn away from each other, and they were never to see each other again. They screamed each other’s name’s, but over the roar of the winds, you couldn’t hear a thing.

  • Beverleeeeeeeeeeeey!” With a sudden jerk, Gustavus rose up quickly from the ground, shouting the name of his lover. He quickly noticed that as he spoke, he could taste something funny and grainy, and instantly spit it out. Inside his mouth was a bundle of sand, and as he looked down, he saw that he was on the beach, in early, early morning. Where the hell am I? Was all he could think about. He had washed up on the beach after last night’s storm, but he woke up relatively early, considering it was around 5:30 AM on a Caledonian Beach.

An elderly couple approached him, they seemed to be the only people on the beach in this time of day. They were taking a nice relaxing walk when what they thought to be a large piece of debris started to move. As they ran over to him, the woman patted his back, as she thought he was choking on the sand after seeing him spit it up. “Are you okay dearie?” said the woman. Gustavus looked around, still not sure entirely as to what happened. After thinking things through for a couple of minutes, he remembered all about the Blue Moon Alliance, and what he was sent here to do. If, that is, he was in Caledonia, like he planned.

This is Caledonia, is it not? The town of Belfhaste?

Why yes, but who are you, and how did you end up here son? And who is Beverly?” This was the man who spoke. Gustavus thought for a while. He ended up exactly where he wanted to be. But he couldn’t let these people knew who he was. And because he had no crew, he needed some place to stay, and this couple would be perfect.

Slowly, he began speaking, making sure to sound crazy so the couple would take him in.”Well I was, um, on a pirate ship. I raided the ship, because they stole my love interest, Beverly. As I ransacked the ship, I was conked on the head by one of the pirate’s bag of treasures. I fell to the ground, but I got up after hearing Beverly’s voice. I tackled the captain, but he picked me up and threw me off the ship into the rough waves. And then... I guess I ended up here.

Both of the people there looked at each other, not sure what to make of this strange story. In the end, they just began to laugh. Then the woman spoke. “Oh dearie, you must have had a bad dream. Although I don’t know how you could have ended up here. But you must be very confused. Have you no place to go?” Gustavus nodded his head “no”. “Well, Cormac and I will take you in with us, won’t we Cormac?” Cormac, the husband, shook his head “yes”.

Thank you very much, but are you sure I won’t be a bother? I don’t want to mooch off of you. I promise that I’ll help out around the house and search for some place to go. But I’m from Byzan, a region very, very far from here. I need to get used to this new world. Please understand, miss.

Of course we don’t mind. You can help out around our farm. He heard Miltank, and we ship milk to all of our neighbors. And please, call me Sibyl.” Of course Gustavus doesn’t have any memories of his parent’s milk farm. He forgot all about that farm after the Alliance came and invaded their village. And Gustavus was going to need at least a year or two to get on his feet. You know, to learn an entirely new economic system, way of life, new jobs, and other stuff like that. Quietly, he’d observe the country’s way of doing things while working on the farm, and then, when the time was right, plot his way into creating a Blue Moon Alliance right here in Caledonia. His boss would be so proud of him if he succeeds, but that might be a bit difficult, because with no means of communication, how would he get his teammates over here...? Well, he’d worry about that when the time came.
| VII | //~ [ F ] \ or honor or greed //>
  • And so, for two years Gustavus worked on the farm with Sibyl and Cormac, tending to Miltank, to delivering milk to all the villagers of Belfhate. Life was simple. He wasn’t bothered too much by his guardians, and he was free to do whatever he wanted. He basically spent all of his free time walking around the town. He talked to people he met as he walked, and asked them their opinions on their government, and economical issues and stuff like that. And before long, he had basically everything figured out.

He learned that there was a rival country, Lascia. And he learned that with all the chaos in these two countries, things were pretty hectic. He knew that the country was filled with self appointed law officers, and even worse, outlaws. Well, in a sense, outlaws were bad for him. If he wanted to reign supreme, he’d need to get the outlaws out of his way, first. And that’s all that could be said. And with Belfhaste being weak in the protection area, a lot of crime would fall upon him during his two year stay here in Belfhaste.

Eventually, Gustavus learned of lieges, and vassals. And he thought to himself that if he could pretend to swear loyalty to a liege, become a vassal, perform odd jobs, and work his way up the ranks using his cunning, skills, wits, and braun just as he did in the Alliance, he could eventually be powerful enough to over throw the Liege’s leader and send over his cronies and set up a base here in Caledonia. But wait...

...What if he did something more productive then set up a base. Yes, what if he instead used his acting skills to lure over the Alliance, and then over throw Wane Gibbous, and become the leader of his own EVIL EMPIRE! That’s it, genius! This was the most brilliant plan ever, and Gustavus knew that he could pull it off. But it would take quite a bit of work. But that’s okay. After using two years to get on his feet, he would be well rested to start a new journey, one in which he would plot to rule the WORLD! Mwu ha ha ha! Well, technically, it was just Caledonia. But perhaps it was Caledonia today, Lascia tomorrow, and in a few years, the galaxy! But then again, rocket ships and such would have to be invented before the galaxy was up for ruling. Boy, is it tough to live in medieval times!

And so Gustavus left his guardians at the age of twenty-two, and searched around for news of different lieges. After careful analysis, he realized that he wanted to serve under Sir Reynard Fallkirk. He valued wit, and strength, which were two of Gustavus’ best [albeit, visible] qualities. He could win Sir Fallkirk over using these qualities, rising up the ranks quicker and easier than if he had applied for some other liege. And for a man of wit, acting out a simple vassal in a land of chaos shouldn’t be too hard. So with great confidence, albeit, overconfidence, in himself, Gustavus went to Sir Fallkirk in search of joining his liege.

  • Gustavus laughed as he awaited his meeting with the leader of the liege he had hoped to join. In his mind, he went over his plan multiple times to insure that he recite every word down to the letter. Not only as a perfectionist was this absolutely necessary, but as an actor. He was assuming the role of a vassal, a do-gooder if you will. And what was Gustavus on the inside? An outlaw. Although, it’s not that he wanted to be an outlaw. That’s just how he was raised. And now, for him to be assuming the role of something other than an outlaw was a completely new experience. So he considered himself to be an actor. And he surely did look the part, he thought to himself has he licked his hand and ran it through his hair.

Going over his plan a few more times in his head, he stood up. He made sure to adjust his clothing, and he cleared his throat. I have to appear like a man, if I want to win this guy over. But at the same time, I have to appear clever. As he thought this, he began laughing again. Although, this part you can’t consider acting. He was a bit full of himself, but at least he did have charisma, another thing that Sir Fallkirk should find interesting in him. Anyway, Gustavus opened the door into the room with Sir Fallkirk awaiting him. As he looked around, he saw several men, but knew right away which one was Sir Fallkirk.

Gustavus walked right over to him. “Ah, so you are the Sir I’ve been wanting to see. I recognized you instantly for I could just tell you were a huntsman by the your confident air. Oh, where are my manners?” Gustavus got on one knee, raised his right hand in the air. “I, Gustavus Caliban of the Byzan Region, hereby swear my loyalty to you, Sir Reynard Fallkirk, as I wish to join your liege.” And then Gustavus laughed again. Gustavus is easily amused. Standing up, he spoke. “But of course you already knew this was my purpose for meeting with you. Why else would someone you do not know come to stop by? Surely not to say ‘hi’, that’s for sure. Although, if it’d get me a better chance of joining, I’d be glad to come back every now and then just for an interesting conversation with someone as witty as you. And this of course is why I wish to serve under your lordship, and only under your lordship. You honor strength, and wit, and I’m all about that stuff, too. We are alike, and I wish to serve you and perform tasks that I myself will approve of.” At this point, Gustavus has basically showed Sir Reynard Fallkirk everything about him, and most of what he spoke of was all hogwash, really. So for Gustavus’ sake, I hope Sir Reynard Fallkirk valued humor as well.

Gustavus ran his hand through his hair again, but with a dry hand this time. He wasn’t barbaric, after all. “And I’m willing to test my strength and wit for you, to see how strong and witty I really am. But trust me, even without testing I know basically who I am. And I’m not afraid to tell people this either. In fact, men quiver when they see my physique, and there has not been a riddle I was not able to solve. And this is what I’ve wanted to tell you, but refraining from saying for being, well, a bit cocky. But I have nothing to hide from you. So please, your lordship, allow me to join your liege. You won’t be disappointed with the results. I will work as hard for you as all of your top executives put together. I will put my life on the line for you.” And with that, Gustavus stopped talking. He realized that he had been talking way too much. He steered away from what he had planned, and started babbling on about what he thought was the right thing to say. After all, did Sir Fallkirk not honor people who spoke their mind? Maybe he was a bit overconfident and said some things that weren’t true about himself, which could be bad, but overall he was satisfied with his performance.

Even though Gustavus never gets nervous for the most part, he did begin to feel a little awkward. After all, world domination starts here, and if he can’t even act his way into joining a simple liege, how would he ever amount to anything? This could quite possibly be one of the most important moments of his life.

Sorry it took so long, I've been really busy. Since the only choice I like is Mawile, I'll take a male Mawile nicknamed Aragon, with the egg moves Swords Dance and Ancientpower. Thank you!

EDIT: Oh yeah, and is it possible for me to create a second character? I didn't see anything against it in the rules, and I'm pretty sure that Tanz has a second character.
