Winter
Weather
The first great snowfall of a few days prior has coated the lands in a shining white that many would say is beauty embodied. The trees glimmer and chime with ice on their branches, and the evergreens are more vibrant and lively looking than at any other time in the year. The skies are cloudless, and with nothing to insulate the earth, temperatures drop low enough to be dangerous for long amounts of exposure at night.

The ice that has taken over the water has finally begun to thin; once it has melted entirely, normal naval activity can resume, as most ships are incapable of traversing such dangerous obstacles as enormous hull-piercing shards of ice. Most ships...

(If I've implied anything I shouldn't have, I will easily change it. It's not that your rules aren't clear or anything, I just wasn't sure where I was going to go... and I hope the story of how she gets what she gets is fun ^^;;)
Name: Victora Rebecca Kennsington
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Country: Caledonia
Class: Vigilante
Starting Town: Belfhaste
Chosen Weapon: Staff (Metal)
Appearance: Victoria is about 5'3" in height, making her relatively tall compared to the shorter people, but relatively short compared to the taller people. She has long, blonde hair that is up in a ponytail, save for her bangs, which end just below her ears. Her eyes are an icy blue in color, and they round out the rest of her piercing facial features. Her body is not as well developed as others in her family, but she is not lacking so much in the chest region that people call her a boy when she adventures around. She is also relatively medium in body type, and has a medium skin tone, which suggests that she travels heavily.
She wears violet travel garments, consisting of a lighter violet tunic and a darker violet pair of travel slacks, as well as knee high black books. She also wears a large, deep indigo cloak, which is held to her body by a Lucario shaped, silver brooch, and a pair of dark brown gloves, both of which have the star of Kadabra on them.
Her equipment is found in her satchel, and she wears it slung diagonally around her right shoulder.
Personality: Violet's personality is described easily in one phrase: Ice Queen. She does not meant to come off that way, but she has absolutely no tact, and therefore says whatever is on her mind, or whatever seems to be on everyone else's. Her view on politics is basically 'leave it be, if it becomes important, then do something about it. Until then, it's none of your concern.' To say the least, she is not, by any means, a 'nice' person. She does not like to get 'close' to anyone, nor does she like to 'aid' either side of any war, making her have the ideal mindset for a mercenary.
However, Victoria is not without her own morals, and if she is kept from any information upon being 'hired,' or on any 'community service' she decides to take, she will find out what she is missing and make a judgement on the people hiding the information from her, and it is never a good judgement.
As for her interaction with others, she tends to keep to herself unless someone comes up to her, and if she likes the way they act (or thinks they need someone else to help them) she will help them out, against her first impression of 'leaving them alone.' She is also humble, and tries to come off as such, so that people will 'leave her alone,' or at least something to that extent.
Biography: Victoria was born in the Kingdom of Caledonia, to caring Pokemon Keeper parents, both of who served, to some capacity, as mercenaries to the Caledonia Royalty, and were therefore respected members of their home community. Victoria was raised in seclusion, despite their respected status, due to the fact that her father was never sent to school, or raised like her mother, who was raised in the 'traditional Caledonian' way. So, Victoria was trained by both of her parents and both of their pokemon (a Lucario and a Kadabra for father and mother respectively) in many fields of expertise, though most predominantly staff fighting and Caledonian history.
She never had many friends besides her parents' pokemon and the wild pokemon she could manage to make friends with, but she never complained about it, seeing as most of the other children thought her an outsider, or a ghost, depending on whatever gossip people tended to believe. So, as she grew up, the stories grew more uncanny, and soon enough, she had to leave town for her parents fearing that she would end up the town's 'crazy woman.' She grudgingly obliged to leaving on the journey, but not before her parents could give her gifts to help her a long, a metal staff, a cloak, and a pair of gloves, to which she still wears to this day.
The first leg of her journey was a long one, for she was without many of the supplies that she needed to truly be an 'adventurer.' Despite this, she managed to get all the way from Ulster to Belfhaste before she ran into her first bit of trouble. It seemed there was a minor thief who was heading in the opposite direction as her, and that thief had, in his hand, a pokeorb, and was being chased by the local authorities, trying to get the object back to its rightful owner. With some quick thinking, Victoria stopped the thief, and turned him in to the authorities. The owner of the pokeorb then decided to give Victoria the orb [which contained her to be deterined starter pokemon] itself, as well as the rest of her current inventory of gear.
RP Sample:
Ah, Belfhaste. Town of... well, City of the great coasts and largest city she had seen thus far. It was a beautiful place, and Victoria planned on poking around a bit before going on.
Despite this, however, she could not take in much of Belfhaste's greatness for long, as someone collided with her while she was gazing.
"Watch it!" she shouted angrily, stumbling backwards, but grabbing her 'attacker's' shirt before she could fall. After she had quickly regained her footing, she gave the assailer a good look.
He was larger than her, in both directions, and had a short stubble on his face, like he had not shaved in awhile. His clothing was grubby looking and his expression was frantic.
And he smelled like Miltank dung. Victoria cringed.
"Whatever your problem is, sir," she snorted, "I hope you resolve it before someone decides to make manure out of you."
The man looked like he was about to say something, when he heard shouts from a few yards down. Without looking behind him, he wrenched Victoria's hand off of his shirt, and started bolting away.
Victoria grumbled, and turned to start walking off again, when she noticed that there was a bustle in the crowd that was going against where many of the people were trying to get to.
"STOP THAT MAN!" she heard a voice shout. Her brow raised, and she saw the beginnings of what looked to be a rather large group of whatever authorities Belfhaste had emerging directly from the middle.
They would never make it in time. There were too many people in the way.
"STOP HIM!"
Clearly 'get back here' was out of style.
Sighing, Victoria whirled around and gave the other side of the street a cursory glance. The man had enough time to reach the corner, and was rounding it when she looked.
No one was going after him.
"Oh please," she mumbled angrily, "Does no one else have legs or arms? He doesn't even look dangerous..."
After a discontented snort, Victoria started to run after him.
'I might as well try... it's not like I don't have time on my hands,' she thought, rounding the corner after the man.
"Hey wait!" she shouted, finding that this was a very slippery thief. He was already down another corner by the time she was bolting down the second street.
The authorities were probably still struggling through the crowd, but Victoria could not see them, and therefore did not care for their existence for the moment. Maybe a little later, if she caught the man.
Wait.
She spotted something in the corner of her eye, an alley it looked like. Maybe if she went down there, she would be able to catch up...
'I have no time to think about it! Just go!'
Turning the corner into the alley, she avoided a merchant trying to sell his goods to a young child who just had enough money to buy things of the sort, and jumped over a Rhyhorn, who was trying to pull a cart for his master.
She figured she had a few seconds before the man was down and around the corner again, and he did not seem like the stupid enough type to go in a big circle.
Then again, maybe she was lucky.
As she ran into the alleyway, she could hear shouts and noises coming from the other end. There was no telling what they were, she was too far away.
She saw the Rapidash rear up, just in time to see just enough of what was under the poor creature to entice her to speed up.
She managed to tackle the thief, away from the Rapidash, but grabbing him all at the same time. He was lucky that she saved his life, but was not smart enough to get that turning the same way all the time would get you nowhere.
She was just lucky she didn't have to waste anymore time.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
It took her an hour to find the authorities again (they had tried to scour the other part of the city before coming back and trying to find him), but when she did, they were accompanied by a tall and important looking man. He must have been some sort of aristocrat that she was not aware of.
"Here's the woman who saved your Pokemon, sir," one of the authority members stated, gesturing over to her. Victoria politely smiled, though truly just wanted to get on with her journey.
The man was beaming.
"Miss, I must reward you for your fine work on catching that vagabond!" he said, voice booming, "You have saved me a lot of time and effort."
She shrugged.
"It wasn't much. I just had a lot of luck, that's all," she replied, but the man laughed at this fact.
"Well, that luck was in my benefit!" he replied, "I would have had a hard time chasing after this man on my own, or even with the authorities behind me. A pokemon is hard to replace, after all!"
She had to agree there.
"Well, you don't have to reward me."
"Yes I do! It's not everyday you get someone with that sort of luck! May I ask where you are going? Maybe I can help you get there..."
"I'm not... really going anywhere," she replied honestly. He seemed to be taken aback by this, but he seemed to know how to at least recover from pretentious behavior.
"Well, my dear, you do not look anywhere near equipped enough for that sort of adventure! Please, let me equip you with what you'll need!"
She shook her head.
"Really sir, you don't have to."
"I insist!"
She blinked. Insisting was good, but she did not feel right taking this man's stuff. It was not her's to give though... and she was finding herself in more and more need of... at least a bag to put things in.
Not that she had all that much to put things in to begin with.
"But sir..." she tried once more, but had no time to resist any longer, as the man handed her a satchel full of items.
"These are the items every adventurer has these days... Pokeorbs to catch your own Pokemon... Potions to heal them... Rope if you get into trouble, and there's more in there! Oh, and, you'll need a traveling companion!"
That was where she had to stop him. She did not want a traveling companion. She traveled alone.
"Sir, I'm just a simple traveller, I don't need a companion..."
By this time, however, he was holding out the Pokeorb, the one that was stolen an hour ago.
"I think you'll find that you will need it much more than I will," he said. Violet held out a hand, trying to get him to stop, but, before she could say anymore, he took her hand and put the Pokeorb in it.
"I insist," he said once more, but this time it was with a much more serious tone. She paused, and looked down at it.
Then, she sighed.
"Alright sir," she replied, "But I feel a little awkward taking these..."
"You shouldn't! My dear, you saved me from going through a lot of trouble, and you should be rewarded as such! You should find that this will save you just as much trouble as it saved me!"
Nevermind that if she took the Pokemon in this Pokeorb, he would have to go through the trouble of getting another...
"Go my dear. Before your supposed awkwardness forces you to give these items back."
She tried to frown at this, but found herself only smiling. He was right. These items should help.
And it was not like she did not want a pokemon. Traveling with one of those was different than traveling with another human.
"Thank you sir..."

Nope, nothin' needs changed at all, this looks great! I'll give ye the sum of 550 gold for the profile, and one of the following Pokemon!
Larvitar Gastly Treecko
Pick a Pokemon, a gender, a nickname (if you'd like one), and two egg moves for it to know right off the bat, and Enrua or myself'll get right on it! And remember, all Pokemon automatically know their learnable TMs of their Primary type!
