Winter
Weather
The first great snowfall of a few days prior has coated the lands in a shining white that many would say is beauty embodied. The trees glimmer and chime with ice on their branches, and the evergreens are more vibrant and lively looking than at any other time in the year. The skies are cloudless, and with nothing to insulate the earth, temperatures drop low enough to be dangerous for long amounts of exposure at night.

The ice that has taken over the water has finally begun to thin; once it has melted entirely, normal naval activity can resume, as most ships are incapable of traversing such dangerous obstacles as enormous hull-piercing shards of ice. Most ships...

Name: David Forest
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Country: Lascia (But only because it's easier to say! *Slapped* Ow!)
Class: Vassal
Liege: Renee Luka
Starting Town: (Blah....)
Chosen Weapon: Short Sword
Appearance: Being someone who prefers stealth over full-on combat, his attire is mostly green to allow him to manouver around the more dangerous parts of the wilderness in places humans likely wouldn't go, while at the same tie, Pokemon would! Who would expect a human to appear in a place Pokemon frequented? His attire also contains no 'flappy bits', as in no cape, or other free clothing. All clothing and equipment he wears is suited to cover up what's needed, and nothing more.
Sporting a green shirt, as well as a green jacket, the back of his jacket also has random black spots all over it! This supposedly makes him a little less neutral when he starts crawling around in a field... apparently! Green trousers in slight dis-repair completes the random outfit. Disrepair being that he has worn out the cloth on the knees, and the metallic sections set on the knees show off just as well as himself. His footwear doesn't particularly exist (Says that leaving footprints and making noises are the cause of the footwear!), but he does wear sandals if the ground becomes a condition where walking around barefooted would be a bit hazordous to someone's health!
As for the looks, he stands at about 6 foot, Blue eyes, brown spiky hair of moderate length, and a light skin tone! His build is not exactly one which has an array of muscles at his disposal, but it's enough to put a small dent on any average grunt. As for the short sword, it is seathed in a holster on his mid-back made for drawing out using the left hand! That doesn't make him left handed though....
Personality: If anything, he's a bit of a sneaky so and so. But also an extremely catious person! He does not leave a 'home base' until he is quite sure that he's well prepared. This includes Pokemon Training. Which is where one of the main problems lies. He is so up to training, he NEVER deems his Pokemon ready enough for any task. He is always stating that his Pokemon is not at sufficient strength to take on anything. This goes to pot when a Pokemon of his at LV 20 is facing one at LV 3.... He'll still say his Pokemon's not prepared enough. He can be a little enraging if ticked off in some way, and will usually see a prompt end to a situation ASAP. Not often though. He usually has control over his temper most of the time.
As for battles, He prefers a sneak attack in order to get a first attack on a foe. He isn't someone who can actually think of a proper plan beforehand, and if he does, they usually don't go according to that plan. He is much better at thinking up ideas as they occur! How else is someone going to know what move to try next if the opponent is not in the correct position to do it! Which is why he likes sneaking around so much: He sees what the foe is doing, and act accordingly as they do stuff.
But heading to dislikes, he absolutely HATES battles which involve a second person. (Whether NPC or otherwise...) And especially when they involve someone of the female gender. Not because of gender-rights, but because he just dislikes female humans altogether! He also has a mild case of Claustrophobia. Not as much that he won't go into caves and such, but he would much rather go elsewhere than anywhere in a cave or cramped building! The last thing he dislikes is... of course... unneccessary deaths. Death in battle should not occur according to him, and he'll make quite certain that such a thing doesn't happen while he's around. He's such a softy about it than even someone attempting to kill him, and who may fail, will likely end up being knocked out cold than being killed.
Biography: His parents randomly decided one day that they wanted a baby.... And David was the result! Fancy that!
To be serious, his arrival into the world was not particularly a wanted one. Although his parents did seek to have a child at some point, David arrived a bit too quickly for their liking. This put a bit of a money strain upon the family, and it became terribly apparent that desperate measures were needed! Hence they moved to Lascia in order to fix all that. His mother and father spent all time that wasn't spent with David into assisting Lady Luka! Like with most starter-upers, they started right at the bottom, doing the most simplest of tasks that mostly involved helping other folks around the kingdom. His Mom was the first to be promoted into doing more complex and out of the way activities after a LONG time. Which left his Dad to take on the burden of caring for David.
While it took a while, his Dad was also eventually promoted to the same position as his wife! Which left David to be taken care of by neighbours. Neighbours that David didn't like. Which is where his sneakiness comes in, attempting to hide from every visiting person. While the neighbours didn't find his hiding skills particularly impressive, they played anyway, pretending to not find him, and then leave. Generally, they knew he was fine, so they just humoured him! As his age continued to mount, so too did his 'abilities', or in other words, things he considered to be his strengths!
He rarely got to see his parents upon their promotions, and it became terribly apparent that something happened, because money suddenly stopped coming. He knew they were fine, since he recieved a letter from them a week later, but, that's the note that sparked this whole thing in the first place:
'David
Have no fear, we are safe and unharmed at the moment. But I'm afraid that we cannot return to the kingdom, some complications has occured and we need to remain in hiding for now. I must keep this brief in fears of arousing suspicion.
- Stay Safe, Mom'
... Yeah, a tragic ending to the start of this place! Not bad aye?
RP Sample:
- At the Castle -
A stakely man, proud of his very existance, holding a spear on one hand and a large shield in the other, he stands clear, blocking the entranceway to the quarters of which should hold Renee. The target of one David Forest. Suddenly things just got a bit more interesting.... sort of! However, if David were to gain entry, he would first need to talk to the guard. He doesn't particularly want to sneak inside after all!
"... Can I help you?" States the guard, looking quite burly. "... Um.... I'm looking for a Mrs. Renee Luka.. Is she here?" Feeble looking compared to this guard! "Not here sir!" "...... Not here?" "Nope, she's at the pub with some workmates of hers. Not that I wouldn't mind a drink myself!"
It was obvious he wasn't going to budge or tell David any more than that. So after sighing, David left hi be, and began his trek to this pub... at least until he realized that he didn't even know WHERE this pub even was! So this left about a twenty minute gap of complete uneventfulness of him asking around. Which is so boring, you'd fall asleep if I just did it...
- At the pub.... -
While not quite as fashionable and wielding as the first, there's a guard here too. Wearing what would be everyday clothes, but holding a shield and sword! Why does that remind me of Link somehow? However, this guard drew his sword and held it in front of the door as David was going to enter.
"No underage drinkers allowed!" Was all the guard said before seathing his sword again. "But I didn't come here to....." .... No use, the guard wasn't even paying attention. "..... Fine...."
- Inside the pub -
"Your usual m'lady?" Asked the bar keep to you know who! "Please do...." Renee simple stated. "And don't hold off on the froth!" "You know Renee." Started a random worker sitting next to her. "You really shouldn't be drinking, it's bad for your credability." "... And working with you isn't bad enough?" "... Fair point!"
The conversation ended just like that as her drink came to her. Delicious and frothy! Just how she may like it (Heh.... Spoilers! *Slapped* Ow!). After a hard day of random leg work, she was greatly going to enjoy this! The glass just about to reach her lips....
*CRASH*
The whole building shook, and the drink that was once in the glass was now all over her! That didn't end well. The crash occured outside of the pub, and more than one person started to head outside to find out just what was going on. This reluctantly, but included, Renee. She mainly just wanted to beat up the one who ruined her refreshing drink!
- Back outside.... -
Turns out something about David ticked off the guard, which has resulted in the guard grabbing David and having him smack against the building wall. Whatever occured has resulted in David being knocked unconcious. Having no actual weapon to use for himself, a big problem seemed pretty much imminant, until the guard actually came to whatever senses he had. Killing a defenseless boy wouldn't do so well for HIS credability! The people inside, hoping for a decent end, are left angrily going back inside as the guard promptly disposes of David into a random garbage dump!
"Don't waste my time kid!" Is again, all the guard says before returning to his post. ".... He should've known better...." Renee simply said before going back inside. "Bar keep! Another drink... and put it on the Guard's tab!" "What the?!?!?"
- A booze up later.... -
One beat up guard later, Renee, slightly tipsy, starts staggering over back to where she's supposed to be... which isn't at work! While she may be mildly drunk, she hasn't lost much of her brain cells (For a change!), and can't shake the feeling that someone is following her. So to shake that feeling, she heads to a more crowded area with more people. She still had that feeling, but more than one person! After all, there were other people there, so why couldn't she be followed? But as she approached a more secluded area, she once again got that feeling of being followed once more. It took a couple of seconds for her brain to register to turn around, but once she did, while difficult, she spotted someone very familiar.
"Oh...." Was all Renee started with. Bland.... "... Aren't you that tramp? .... Yeah... that got thrown out of the pub? Must say, you don't look old enough to go in there!" "....." David didn't say anything. Instead he just opted to actually come out into the open.
Renee, sensing something about to happen, placed her right hand on her weapon holster, ready to draw and attack. But while she was expecting a confrontation. What she got instead was someone kneeling down before her. That's definitely not a fight waiting to happen!
"..... Wha?" Renee, cluelessly mummered. She probably could work it out by now, but her drunkeness won't let her do that so smoothly. "I have come to lend you my services...."
- A change of venue, two glasses of water, and one explanation later.... -
"Now I get it.... I think..." Renee finally mentioned, looking at her notes that contained David parents' history. "So you're the son of 'The Forest's'? Not a bad title, they certainly are hard working if nothing else!" "....." David remained silent. Quietness! "Although I am worried you may not be up for it. You are a bit... young..." "... Won't know until you try me!"
Certainly an effective way of trying out the ice. What better way to see if someone is capable of doing something than by giving them a try-out and see how they fair? Although Renee's concerns over him is not profound. David is not particularly strong. After all, he did get mince-meated by that Guard! Despite that, Renee reached into a draw, picked up something that seemed to be on some kind of belt or something, and threw it at David's general direction, landing just shy of his feet. All David did was look up at her.
"Alright, I'll give you a chance. But at least make yourself semi-useful. Use that for your own protection."
Sure enough, there's the Short Sword that people may be wondering is missing from the sign up! David grabbed the handle and pulled it out of its holster only slightly to see that it is, in fact, a blade! A blade in the hands of someone who hasn't trained in the arts. How badly can this end?
"I hope you realize....." Renee continued. "... That you won't be doing the things your parents did. You'll have to earn that position first!" "Your trust will not be mis-placed." Is all David said back, earning a cunning smile from Renee. "I should hope not!"
As Renee got ready to continue with her speech and talk, David grimaced at how bad she's making him be. Just how did his parents cope with her? Geez! But if he has any hope of having any kind of future that didn't become starvation, this had to be done. The future is the future, but for now, this is what is happening. And this is his story! No-one elses! The blade holster shifting in his grips, he awaited Renee to continue, not once leaving his position.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.... I never knew my example would be done in several places! Here I am trying to be as close to Renee's character as possible here.... *Shot* Well. Let me know if something's wrong....

Well, NPC interaction is really supposed to be at a minimum, to prevent NPCs from being mischaracterized, but you put a lot of effort into it so I'm not going to make you rewrite it, haha. But there are a few places where I can see discrepancies with how she would have acted, and how she was made to act. Anywho, it's a good sign-up otherwise, earning a solid 500 gold and one of the following!
Ekans Murkrow Bellsprout
Pick a Pokemon, a gender, a nickname (if you'd like one), and two egg moves for it to know right off, and Enrua or myself'll get back to you! Remember, all Pokemon automatically know all their learnable TMs of their Primary type!

Have no fear, I don't plan on over-working my posts to the spot of God-modding. That's the mod's job!
:P I was just being semi-creative, that's all.
"Hmm.... What kind of Pokemon shall I have today? ..... Ducky! The Machine!" Ducky: Quack.... Ekans: What are we doing here? Bellsprout: Raw Fish!!! Murkrow: Ohhh... shiny! "Hush up and get into the machine!" *Shoves all three Pokemon into machine* Bellsprout: *Cramped in* Someone's touching my vine! Murkrow: It might be me... hold on.... Bellsprout: OW!!! You just Pecked me! Murkrow: Yup, it's me! Ekans: .... "Who will it be?" *Pulls lever, three 'Ekans' pictures come up* "Ahhhh, EKANS! Perfect!" Murkrow: We've been here for six speeches now, we'd better start eating Bellsprout Ekans: Should we just be finding a way to escape? Murkrow: Shut up and eat Bellsprout! Ducky: Why do I suddenly feel ill? "....." *Randomly banned*
Okay, I think it's time I stopped that and actually got to the point, aye?
Da 'mon: Ekans Da dub: Ekans Da genda: Male Da moves: Spite and Poison Tail.
I think Ekans having Toxic may be a bit of an advantage, but Zangoose's have frequently laughed at me!
