Defiantly an aircraft flap. I would presume it is from MH370. |

Not missing. Just ones that have crashed or missing. I think the others have been found. |

I think that's PARTS missing, Thump. And we all know Boeing has spares all over their planes just for situations like this... Edited by Brewster, Jul 30 2015, 06:57 AM.

Not Canadair, Boeing. I see they now have found a suitcase in the eastern Indian Ocean. If they could figure out how long the flap section has been on the island, perhaps the crash site could be narrowed by analyses of the clockwise IO current. Forensics of the sea critters may tell them about the exposure time in the ocean. |

I read this morning that the fact this piece broke off could indicate it was set for a ditching attempt. If they do find the rest of the plane I think its doubtful they will ever get the story, unless they find notes written or stored on electronic devices by passengers which is conceivable

It is a small piece of wing flap consistent with a severe impact. If someone wanted to make a water landing to try to preserve lives, he wouldn't have pulled the stunt initially. |

I just knew that any questions I would have about the finding of this part, could be answered right here on this forum by all the experts. Thank God for this forum. |

Someone said this morning that the damage to the piece indicated it was detached from the aircraft while still in flight. |

More sarcasm! If you have an opinion, why not share it and we can discuss that. No need to discuss sarcasm. |
