Anytime you inject liquid under pressure to fracture rock you have a possibility of forcing it into nearby slip plains. That will have the effect of lubricating the slips , like oil between 2 steel plates .Their is a lot of evidence of earthquakes caused by fracking , but that is the largest so far. most are small |

I don't see the evidence. As the article said, it is a seismic active zone. Furthermore, who is to say it might be a way to mitigate larger earthquakes by setting off small tension relieving events. |

That is the issue, its all guesswork, which to me suggests being cautious with the process, especially in geologically active areas. |

There's several studies from a few years back that have looked at using the fracking technique to help relieve pressure. None that I've seen came to any conclusions one way or the other . |
