Beats living in the sticks watching the hay grow......lol
Have you ever watched corn grow? It's fascinating! It starts out as a little seed, pops it's little head out of the dirt, catches a few rays, drinks a little water and the next thing you know, it has ears. &13
I prefer watching another little head pop up........but at your age........lol

Its called the chance to experience life. The sticks are nice for a visit but I would go nuts living in the middle of nowhere

There is a difference between the middle of nowhere
and living in an antlike environment in a city.

When I am traveling and going through Atlanta, etc,
I have nothing but sympathy for those destined to spend
half their lives in gridlock traffic surrounded by strangers!

I dunno, I do not live ant like. I have a half acre in LA and just bought a half acre in NY. hardly ant like

I can be in the center of Toronto Ont
in an hour and a half.
Aside from traveling around the city on my way to somewhere else,
I have not been in the city in over twenty years.

We have gotten the reverse response when we tell people we moved from Atlanta to Lancaster, Ohio. In most cases it's an age thing.

"You left Atlanta for HERE?" is the typical response from 20 and 30 somethings.

The wife and I like the advantages of city living, but can no longer stand the disadvantages, so we split the difference and moved to Lancaster (population about 38,000) from the Atlanta area (population over 5 million in the MSA). We have the cultural advantages of a good sized city - Columbus - only 30 miles away where most of the growth and development has been to the north and west while we live to the southeast. Great restaurants, a fine symphony (our destination for this evening), live theater, high end shopping and an international airport. Lancaster (birthplace of William Tecumseh Sherman) has some good restaurants and no traffic. We can fill most of our needs in the local shops and no traffic. We can get anywhere we need and no traffic.

It is the best of both worlds AND NO TRAFFIC!

Sure, there is a big difference between cities of thirty or forty thousand population and large cities such as Atlanta or St Louis.

As my wife and I have no interest in fancy restaurants or night life, we do not miss the primary reasons for living in a large metro area.

I disagree with your "primary reasons" for living in a city, Sea. Great museums, restaurants and cultural activities are the benefits of living in or near a city.

Jobs are the primary reason people put up with the hassles

You can print up cards, pass out flyers, buy those block lettering stickers and put them on your car, put links in your Youtube channels, but I've done all those things and am seeing no new members over at the factor.

Seems like everyone is stuck on Facebook, it's all I hear, facebook this facebook that. The Factor has Facebook beat in every way, and it's not so in your face. lol, but people love the facebooks
I must have missed it, but what is The Factor? I assume it's a forum, but what is it about?
